Loghain is one of the most epic, complex characters in a video game story. I think he should be left alone. The more a character gets cameo'd, the more that character gets ruined. It's already irritating that in DA2 his armor description has minimized him to a minor d-bag in canon. I say leave Loghain's legacy bee and leave him out of the game.

Loghain is one of my favorite characters. I'd love to be able to see him again especially after seeing this:

Loghain is *always* right.

Even if his involvement is just a cameo, I'd be okay with that. I'd love a romance with the guy, but I'm not holding my breath.

He is one of the few people who survived my murderous rampage - partly due to the fact that he is fantastic character and voiced by best voice actor of all times. So i am all for bringing him back for DA3.

That's assuming people didn't execute him. I felt bad for killing him, but it was either friendship or a potential ally.

I decided that he would be a valuable ally in the future so i used a save editor to make him be alive after i played DA:O and awakening.
Unfortanly for me, that save editor is a from scratch, so even if i was made king with Alistair a grey warden commander and Loghain alive - my warden isnt my warden per say, Just a bunch of set values for DA2.

So even if the Warden makes a cameo in DA3, my warden is long dead. Sacrifised himself in secret for Loghain, with a puppet wearing his name to keep order and morale.

I'd like it if Loghain made an appearance... he's a really interesting character. Don't get me wrong, he's dead in all of my playthroughs bar one, but I think it'd be a nice touch for those that made that decision to keep him. I don't suppose it was a popular choice, but I think enough people did it at least once for it to be worth it. :)

So much this. *sigh*
An older man that went through a lot, made some bad decisions that still haunt him and is generally disliked by the people he has to associate with?

I can hear the Snape fangirl in me roaring and screeching.

I'm not so much concerned with Loghain as with his voice actor. I <3 Simon Templeman, just bring him back

Loved him since he was on Just Shoot Me

Loghain survived in all but one of my playthroughs, so I'd love to see him put in an appearance in DA3. However:

I would certainly be happy to see Loghain again provided he survived DA:Origins. Perhaps they could take a similar approach to potentially dead party members as in Mass Effect 3 with their role in the quest is fulfilled by a new character if they did not survive.

I wish I could properly state just how much that codex entry bothers me but I just get all rage-face and inarticulate.

And yes, again, I would love to see him in Inquisition. The only problem would be knowing if my Warden was in contact with him. I would want it to be clearly stated that they are in contact. (I don't want much, right?)

This slaver is still rocking hard in another series and I don't see no death on him.

As someone mentioned earlier, the thing about having Loghain in Orlais is that his role, by its nature, would be bigger than a cameo if he was left alive. Warden or no, Loghain is NOT the type of person who would stand by while the country he'd fought and bled for all of his life went to war with the Orlesians, which is a good possibility if Alistair is to be believed.

And as someone who has spared Loghain in most of his imports, I feel it would be a waste of an incredibly good and well-written character if he doesn't appear. He was Gameinformer's 3rd best character of the decade for a reason.

Despite BioWare's typical approach considering dead companions in DA, I imagine it would be hard to bring headless Loghain back.

I mean, he's dead in a few of my PTs certainly - but in the PTs where he's ALIVE...then yes, I want to see him.
