Morgan Freeman was once asked by 60 Minutes correspondent Mike Wallace, "How do we get rid of racism?"

His answer was, "Stop talking about it."

Please follow his advice in regards to Synthesis and stop treating it as a big deal when it isn't.

Unfortunately not talking about it isn't going to make it go away.

Unfortunately, not talking about it is exactly what will make it go away. Arguing against the idea is just fuelling Super MAC's inflated pseudo-artistic ego. Remember that line, "Lots of speculations from everyone?"

Yeah, you all walked right into that one.

Turn around, walk away, don't say a word. Give Synthesis the greatest insult known to krogankind. Focus on Destroy and Control. BioWare cannot support an idea that is ignored by the fanbase, unless they want ME4 to bomb (Protip: They reasonably shouldn't). Hating on it just tells BioWare that it is producing a response, and in their minds, any response is a good response.

But of course, if you want Super MAC to keep rubbing his hands in delight over how much speculations he is getting from everyone, by all means, continue.

If we ignore it, there will be only positive things said about synthesis, and people will think forcibly transhumanizing other people is okay and for their own good...

Yeah, we're not going to let that idea fester until it becomes a reality...
It's our civic duty to verbally ****slap and marginalize this disgusting ideology until the end of time...

Fighting Super MAC's vision just convinces him he is right. An idea people hate is worth fighting for... but an idea no one cares about? You'd have nothing to prove to anyone but yourself. And that, sir, is the personal hell of every so-called artist out there.

What about an idea people love?

If Destroy did away with the deaths of EDI and the geth, Synthesis would have NOTHING to offer. That's what we need to focus on. Fixing Destroy.

Basic marketing - if you want to compete, give your customers a better deal than your competitors. Telling them that the competitors deals are bad are just going to make them look like victims.

By hating on Synthesis and its supporters, you are victimizing the ideology and those who adhere to it.

So, the synthesis supporters people in general should ignore anti-synthesis threads but synthesis opponents people in general are perfectly welcome to barge into pro-synthesis threads and make a colossal fuss?

I sense thousands of glass houses breaking with the tossing of tiny hypocritical stones.

But the leviathans taking over the galaxy in destroy is a good thing!!!

Not my point. If you do not like Synthesis, you may discuss it. If you do not like certain people in the internet, you should ignore them.

Because Synthesis is the epitome of stupidity and pretentiousness and people flock to that stuff like moths to the flame.

Rightly so. The fanbase's tastes are finicky and largely superficial.

Jack in ME2 was well-hated by many players. Kind of like synthesis ending now. A few superficial changes in ME3, and Jack became a hit overnight and highly requested for DLC recruitment.

Don't remind me.

So the reason you are still talking about Synthesis is because BioWare likes it?

What a bunch of BS.

Since when have any of you ever cared what BioWare thinks? And what madness made you think that BioWare cares about your opinions? They never have and never will. If they want Synthesis to become canon, the only thing you can do is to not buy ME4.

The endless Synthesis debates contribute nothing to nothing. It is a waste of everyone's time, energy and forum space. Just as Super MAC intended with his "Lots of speculations from everyone".

You are all indoctrinated and you can't even see it.

Pretty sure it was Casey's "lots of speculation from everyone."

Unless, of course. MAC is an acronym for Mac And Casey. lol.

I don't want to derail the thread, but if you looked at the old "Who's your favourite character threads" back when ME3 came out, you'll see posts with what I mentioned above and the ME2 section had a bunch, ironically, the character thread for her had minor trolls at best and was the least hostile, ironically.  What I mean mean by hostile is, in some threads, people would start hating on someone if they had a dislike for a certain character or whatever, but the Jack thread was probably the most well-mannered, haha.

There are legitimate reasons to talk/complain about synthesis. First of all, it comes out of nowhere. Destory and Control are foreshadowed throughout the entire game. Yes, there are moments when Shep is railroaded into saying "Control is totally the bad way to go", but no one was surprised to see it appear. And from the 'technical' POV, we know how both Destory & Control work and we can 'buy' it. Synthesis is not foreshadowed at all and is seriously baffling from the technological POV.

Now, of course there are some people who simply don't like it because on moral grounds and can't deal with the fact a game WITH CHOICES has a choice they don't like, even though they will never pick it. That's not even worth discussing, they shouldn't be playing any RPG/RPG-influenced games with choices.

But there are legitimate reasons to discuss and criticize synthesis.

Not only what Bill Casey said about growing positive reinforcement.. But what makes you think "lots of speculation" is specific to just Synthesis?

If we really want to make a stand we should take a strike against all the ending debate. This will probably cause the Super MAC to have a art attack, because the only thing that can kill a Phantom of the Opera is a broken art.

I'm one of those people, I guess.  Hate is far too strong of a word for how I felt, but it's fair to say she was one of my least favorite squadmates in ME2.

And, yes, now I think she's pretty great.  She's a teacher who is fiercely protective of her students.  What's not to like about that?
