I was thinking about shields, and barriers, and I realized that we don't have any form of armor (the yellow health bar that some enemies have). What if we had a playable Geth Pyro, or some other armored geth?

The armor would take less damage from fast-firing weapons, and it would be much stronger than shields. A base of 4000, maybe. However, rather than regenerating when not damaged, the geth would have a heavy melee that engaged a sort of "repair mode", during which it regenerates armor over time. It could also have a mobile repair ability that allows it to regenerate slowly at all times while active, at the cost of power recharge speed.

It would add an interesting new playstyle, somewhat similar to the original Mass Effect, in which you didn't regenerate health naturally but had a lot more.

Then, Krogans should be armored as well. Even if I don't see how they could regenerate.

The idea is not bad, and could bring some variety of course.

That would be nice, but I was thinking that a heavy melee in which they repair their armor would make more sense for a geth.
