So, are you going to be cheapskates again and only make Ogres and stupid human Hurlocks, or are you going to bring back my awesome Genlocks and Shrieks?!!? I want them back!

Really, you did nothing to explain why the most common type of darkspawn went from being Genlocks in the first game, which makes sense, cause they come from dwarf women, who live in the same habitat as spawn, to Hurlocks in the second game, which makes no sense because human women don't usually go traipsing underground. And you also didn't explain where the heck all of the Genlocks disappeared to, as well as the Shrieks. You fail.

Genlocks were present in Legacy, along with alpha hurlocks and genlocks.

There were no shrieks, but I think they're still tinkering with the appearance of shrieks.

Logic... darkspawn come from underground, so the first stage of a blight is heavily reinforced by dwarfs-spawn.

As the blight progressed over "mostly" human populated areas, Hurlocks become more and more numerous untill they make up the bulk of the darkspawn forces, logically the most numerous group would have a number of spawn left after the blight.

No, the darkspawn takes turn coming to the surface, and they decide which of them get to send the more of their kind to the sufrace then the other darkspawn types by drawing straws. And the shrieks weren't on the surface because they were bad, and were grounded in their room.

Alright, your explanation does make sense. I also thought that it wasn't nessacry for the a blight to make more darkspawn. Sure the blight probably increase the population faster. The darkspawn just need their broodmothers, and if a broodmother dies then the darkspawn just needs to go out and attain a new one. This is probably down by kidnapping a female of the race that makes their type of darkspawn.

It isn't farfetch for a Hurlock broodmother to be made when a blight isn't going on, or even if humans don't travel to the deeproads as much as dwarves does because small bands of darkspawn are seen upon the sufrace even when a blight isn't going on. The blight just have the darkspawn rushing onto the surface in hordes.

And during a blight the darkspawn  would take more females to become broodmothers. So, it would make sense that after the blight that an increase of Hurlocks would occur. I am not sure about the shrieks.
