Bioware, first and foremost, wants to make money at the end of the day. Normally, they create a game with the hopes it sells well enough to recoup the development costs and adds a hefty margin on top.
What if we paid for the development of a new ending? What does Bioware have to lose?
I have $23,753.78 in the bank. Bioware can have every last penny. I consider it an investment, not for a game, but my own happiness.
If I'm the only one who invests, so be it.
If my contribution results in a single text slide, it would be enough. It would mean that I made a difference, that I didn't give up, and that I didn't let Shepard down.
It's been nearly 8 months. I can't get over it. I cant move on. I tried to by happy. I've tried to forget.
I guess I'm just looking for a bit of hope, because I ran out of it a long time ago.
My advice is that you should invest that money in something truly important. Mass Effect is a game. It is escapist entertainment, a frivolity in the grand scheme of things. I sincerely hope that your post contains hyperbole. Keep your priorities in perspective, and realize that there are other things in life that can make you happy.
Money will not get you everything. Yes, BioWare is a company that exists to make a profit, but that does not mean that they will compromise any time someone offers them a monetary incentive. If the writers feel like going in a certain direction with a story arc or a character's development, they will more often than not do so. It is fully within your right to be disappointed with such decisions, but do not expect changes to be made due to that dissatisfaction.
Yes, it has been eight months since ME3's release and four months since the EC DLC. It has been long enough to realize that they will not make any more significant changes to the endings. The reason for this is not money, it is because the developers themselves are satisfied with their endings and do not want to change them.
