... unless you're Reynen Starfyre incognito. <_<
(Edit: Just that Reynen already has an account here, so...)

Non-"mages" do indeed learn magic and there are numerous hedge wizards in the world.Reader81 wrote...
Hmm, I though in Dragon Age storyline said person who born with magic spend to tower, and is mage, while nor-mage can't learn magic.

This is NOT DnD, the traditional fantasy classes are not needed and in my opinion not wanted. I love the fact this game changes things from tradition and strikes out on it's own in some ways.

Clerics are so much more than healers.Fluffykeith wrote...
Why are so many people so fixed on the idea of clerics? Since the game has healing magic anyway, it doesn't need a dedicated class like a cleric, does it? I got on fine in the game with using Wynne as a healer, I can't see what the problem is with the current class setup.

Or you just took credit for it? DATNG - Cleric class v4. Even the READMEs are even practically identical.

Come on OP, own up, are you the aforementioned person or are you someone whom likes stealing peoples mods and claiming credit for it?

They also buff the party, smite foes, wear heavy armor, and can wield most melee weapons. In other words: Mage/Arcane Warrior/Spirit Healer

Eh. Not surprising. I do have a habit of judging people by names, and "a magicle 1lama" isn't a name that spoke highly.
At any rate, Reynen's TNG Cleric mod is fairly known, not sure how the OP thought he could get away with it.

Ferelden doesn't need to be DnDized. It's doin all right with it's new ground & setting.
Some DnD fans act like the clerics they love. They love DnD so much they wanna paint the entire fantasy world in DnD, but whether they like it or not, that can only be a bad idea. Only DnD can do a good job of bein DnD & there's room in the fantasy world for non DnD stuff. A fantasy world with nothing but DnD in it would be like a lifetime of Pizza, it may look good, but we weren't built to live without variety. Sooner or later, the Pizza eating would stop bein glamorous & start getting tedious... then repetitive... then dull...
Like the idea of a cleric if ya want, but the above mentioned AW/SH might be worth a taste as well.

Like I said, that class choice is too limited by the spells it has access to.Schneidend wrote...

If you don't want to play a cleric don't play the cleric class. That is pretty simple. People don't have to restrict themselves to only mods that you aprove of.
An Arcane Warrior-Spirit Healer isn't really the same as a cleric.
Maybe some of the "old gods" aren't in such a deep slumber as the Chantry claims. Or maybe since the Maker left the wold they have broken free of their prisons. Or maybe the Chantry teaching that the Maker left the world is wrong. Or maybe he left the world but now is starting to "come back" and Leliena is the prophet of his return and he is chosing other clerics as well.

BUT if someone wants to mod THEIR OWN game enabling divine magic or clerics as a class, then who the hell has a right to blame and flame them?
Get real or get bent!
Noone forces You to download and use a mod just because it's out there...
If the OP stole/Copied the mod, trying to get undeserved credits for it, is a different question and actually a bannable offense...
I haven't seen and thusly looked into ANY of the 2 mods so I have no view on the matter...
I propose to leave it to the moderators to check it up and take whatever action appropriate to their conclusions of said case...
Happy Gaming!

Because Wizards should not heal.
Seriously.
You got healer, DPS and tank in one class with the Mage in DA:O. If they had given the healing/buffing to an entire different class, Mages wouldn't be so friggin' over-powered.

Well in the gameworld Bioware made as setting for Dragon Age, there simply IS no divine magic, only arcane, end of!
Well, we really don't get "Arcane" Magic in DA; if we did, there wouldn't be any healing spells (which in D&D are strictly Divine Magic).
