Jay, with all headshots only, and taking into account that you somehow survived every account of having every target within your AF field for the Damage Taken debuff, how long do you think it would take you to solo Platinum?

Even if you were invincible, 40 min does seem short for a solo, doesn't it?

I was tired after working a long day and didn't even think about details during my first response.  I was just happy for a solo player posting.

Well, Xcal did a solo on Ghost/Geth/Platinum pre-patch in less than 30 minutes, I believe. Then again, it was a Kroguard/Reegar. 40 seems short, but I was sceptical of sub-20 min runs on Glacier/Gold too before Sy7ar, Sten, Xcal and me decided to solo speedrun it.

So I'll stay neutral on this. If the OP did it the legit way, congrats, I'm impressed.

Otherwise.. Heh, he'll get enough flak from BSN 


Edit : I was referring to RedJohn's solo Geth/Gold with a BatSoldier in sub20 min, when I said I was sceptical at the time.

If he didn't get banned when he posted about soloing Gold with sub level 10 characters (with several different characters) while Bryan or someone from Bioware congratulated him (if he was going to get banned he would had gotten banned back then).

Posting about solos in this forum is a waste of time and invites trolling, I just did 3 gold solo runs a few hours ago, but posting about them is a waste of time (soloing is a waste of time as well) and pointless.

If it takes me 33 minutes to solo gold, and I can put sub 20 minutes with a good team or a good duo, there is no reason to solo gold other than for the challenges.

Also I don't need the validation from fat guys that live with their parents and neither does N7-Link

N7-Link is legit. Me and Air Quotes were spectating him just now and he got sync-killed on wave 8 and the match time was 30.47 minutes till then.

I'm still curious: anyone know if the DoT stacking bug applies to Dark Channel? 'Cause if it does, that would make this much, much more feasible, especially with a Hurricane.

Do you do other kits? Which enemy do you prefer?

Dammit I still can't shake the feeling that I might be fooled. No worries though, that's my problem.

That is the way to get sub 25 platinum, heck with some characters you can probably pull a sub 20, but relies a lot in LUCK more than skills

The thread title is "Platinum solo with hurricane" and OP says just a few posts later that he normally finished in 24 minutes. So, there is a mixture of truths, half-truths, and lies in the thread. I don't think anyone should feel the need to apologize for doubting the OP.

Didn't Peddroelmz said that Incendiary DoT glitch only applies to Warp (the power)?

I know he tested and found that it applied to Warp, but I don't know if he tested any other powers. At least, I don't remember seeing it. I'll look for the thread.

never had my doubt on this guy, good players deserve to be appreciated, not accused. i also believe he said 20-24 with a team somewhere in the middle of this thread. first time he said it it felt like he said solo, then again English is not his first language.

I don't like to solo, is lonely and isn't an optimal way to earn credits

spend 30 minutes to earn 80K credits
or spend 25 minutes to earn 320K credits (4 people earn the same amount as a gold solo)

I hate the store too much to solo

I said how you could get sub 25/20 minutes solos on platinum (besides missile glitching) in theory only possible on glacier and only if the objectives are easy, again relies more on luck than skills.

Also I am a Gold player, I can play platinum in a team and solo a wave or 2 at best, and only with my best classes
