I'll bump it as well every now and then.
It would make all the snipers more fun to use and give way more variety in weapon setups.

I'd love an 'iron-sight' for sniper rifles, but I also think the pistols and ARs need a laser pointer that increases accuracy without zooming in. (i.e. - the awesome phalanx laser from ME2)

That's more a game mechanic change and can't realistically be implemented.
I actually want the communities feedback on this and at the very least have Bioware consider the idea.
I know from a lot of play time how people always complain about the damn scopes some snipers give.

As much as I'd love to see this in ME3, it's more realistic to wait 'til ME4 or ME: Subtitle for these sort of improvements. In my head I've made the prefect Mass Effect Multiplayer game.

Yes. Sniper Rifles are really flawed in this game since the maps aren't really big enough to warrant the scopes we have.

Wouldn't it be nice to take off the scope and run Glacier? It would make more sense as a mod since it's situational and maps like London will still favor a scope.
You also won't get the Javelins see through walls with it so it would balance itself out.

Yes. If they can't eliminate the penalty for noscoping, then they should at least give us an option to not lose all situational awareness of what's around us.

YES +1 I hate the insane zoom the snipers.

The Indra has the perfect level of zoom. Model the other sniper scopes to be at that magnification level.

The Iron Sight mod idea is pretty good, but I do not see BW implementing it. Adjustible zoom would also help the snipers alot.

It wouldn't be that hard which is why I kept it fairly simple with it's description.

All my yes, theres a reason why I do better with the Saber than any Sniper Rifle.

NO Sniper rifles have scopes on them any true sniper will tell you no on the iron sights same with any pro shooter
My PSG-1 came with a scope and its a sniper rifle

Uh uh. High powered scopes on maps that have a max engagement distance of 50 meters. Makes perfect sense.
