Scope mods with a purpose would be nice, the options we currently have are a joke.

We need more scope options - like the adjustable scopes in other MPs. Not sure how much effort it would take for the devs to implement it. Not like the one Krysae had, it was slow as hell, but something that changes te magnification on demand.

Anyways, the Saber more or less is a scopeless sniper rifle - I used to use it on infiltrators before the shieldgate nerf.

OR

Just get rid of the useless hipfire penalty on single shot snipers.

Only if it would give the ability to switch between high and low powered scope. That would make it unique or else it's just a pistol/AR with bad weight.

Ngl, I don't really mind the scopes as they are, hip fire penalty and all. My only gripe with snipers are the auto-aim functions on consoles (it really is annoying), but the magnification hasn't been much of a problem. Dragoons storming my safety nest rarely ends in anything but a couple staggered and shortly thereafter headless Dragoons, even on Plat. As long as you get out of your scope pretty frequently to stay aware of your surroundings, you should be fine being a pewpew sniper.

I see scopes as a necessary nerf to sniper rifle effectiveness at close quarters. Considering that you frankly don't really need a scope to hit targets at most other ranges anyway, making sniper rifles even better at close range is going to disrupt balance.

So much yes. Seeing as how the player is losing damage, armor pen, or ammo I dont realy see this as a way of over powering snipers.

That was my rationale, and I don't even use sniper rifles.

To me, there is only one or two distances in this game where a weapon needs a scope (such as Rio by the camping crate).

And the Indra might just be the AR everyone is looking for.
