I've seen people with the Lone Wolf banner fail miserably in bronze with a Harrier IX.

It means nothing to me.

I agree 100%. To me a legitly earned LW banner means someone is at least a Gold viable player. It doesn't mean they'll earn top score everytime, nor anything beyond just that.

Whether or not they're "team players" is unrelated to the banner.

No not really... It just denotes the guy in question has a certain degree of skill...
On the other hand, if said Lone Wolf guy (who had to have at the very least solo'd gold twice) ends up in a 4-man silver lobby and proceeds to die 14 times throughout the match (the only one to die at all), I remain somewhat flabberghasted...
My guess was that he was drunk, or was having a very bad day... :/

I have to take Paratrooper's side on this one.  You're just making yourself look like a douche with those kind of comments essarr, and I really don't see what you're trying to get at by insulting people simply because they don't mind taking the time to enjoy a game and play it solo once in a while.

ive stated my opinion on the banner a few times...much to the chagrin of others.

The banner is no more impressive than others. Im indifferent to individuals with it IN GAME. My issue is with the BSN in regards to it. I disagree with the attitude OF SOME here that it is THE ONLY banner that takes skill while the others are nothing more than grinding....and you aint a member of the Kool Kid's Klub if you aint got it. And if you aint got it...DONT YOU DARE SPEAK ILL OF OTHER's that are sporting it and making threads about how awesome it is. If you do...you hatin' cuz you cant get it!

Not this random. I see a Lone Wolf and think good, this guy knows what he's doing. But I was disappointed by a guy today with one. He scored very low and barely managed to get 25 kills before the match ended and he ran to extraction almost immediately and ended up dying instantly when he got there. His friend sent me 3 party invites through the game...I'm sure his banner was not legit.

Wrong. I said it means the player is at least Gold viable, which is not a statement pertaining solely to playing solo.

Here's what you said that kicked this whole thing off.

How is saying it "only" means the person can run from one side of the map to the other NOT trivializing it? Every player can run from one side of the map to the other, but not every player can solo Gold.

There are lots of different skill sets they may or may not be good at, but what it tells me is thier combined skills should at least make them (for the 4th time) Gold viable players. Which specific individual skills they possess may of course differ.

Haha. It sounds more like you lost an easy opportunity for $10, or just can't pull it off. Stupidity is amusing...

EDIT: By the way, if your goal is efficiency, you couldn't have beaten this deal. Maximum of one hour of playtime, and you could have had enough cash to spend real monies on either 5 SPs or 3 PSPs with a buck left over. Whether or not you're capable of it or not, you're a fool for not even trying.
