This couldn't possibly be true. No one puts out an expansion a mere 5 months after the initial release of a game.
Sims expansions tend to be about every 5-6 months. EA owns Maxis now, and now they also own Bioware. Five months doesn't seem entirely out of the question considering that, especially considering the release date would probably be pushed back. What I'd be more concerned with is the quality and "are they going to release $40 expansions of varying quality for this game every six months for the next five years?" That said, I still think Bioware would have said something last month if they were really releasing something in March. Or maybe they'll wait until February to announce it, in case of delay? Who knows?

Why do so many people think Morrigan is so critical to the story? Bioware already said that people overrate her importance especially in a sequel. All of these comments or threads saying that an expansion or sequel about the demon child - give me a break. Not everyone did that choice, so it isn't exactly generic.
Well know for a fact they're not done with Morrigan, Gaider has
said that himself. Exactly how and to what extent no one aside from the
Bioware folks no. The child gets brought up quite a bit as well because
of one, Gaider's comments, and two it is a rather large and important
plot point in the first story that is left completely unresolved and
very open, when writers do that typically it's a prelude to something
larger that will be explained or dealt with later in the story, or in
this case most like an DLC/expansion/sequel.
Because it's so hollow at the moment though, it leads to an isnane number of assumptions. It's 1+1+x+y=z, everyone is trying to figure out z going on what little we know of the "problem". Logic points to something continuing her story eventually, an expansion is the ideal situation to do it in considering there long term plan is to move onto bigger and better things with the series. That's why so many are assuming if this expansion is real it will either lend more clarity on the situation or resolve it completely.

I'm not hedging any bets on anything until an official announcement with previews. All I can really say at this point is what I would like to see, and it's not like my feedback is going to have any significant impact on its own anyway.

I tend to agree with you. But considering how long the game was in development it could be possible that they were thinking ahead and worrked on a expansion at the same time as the main game. But it is most likely an early April Fools joke otherwise you would think Bioware would said something by now with all these threads about the topic poping up. In the end who know I guess we will either see in March or when Bioware comes forward either to confim or deny this expansion even exists. I hope it does but I'm not holding my breath on it.

You, me, and everyone else
As to the April fools thing, not sure how that would work since most sites with the rumor have said the announcement would be made in early January. Obviously January comes and goes the gag would pretty much be up as no one would take it seriously anymore.
