Okay seriously this thread isn't even constructive anymore.

I'm pretty sure it was never constructive to begin with.

I'd personally also add Mass Effect 2 there, but I know a lot of people still disagree, and it's admittedly kind of hard to argue up against how abymsally bad ME3 turned out.

That's your opinion. Many, many people like SWTOR. Both Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 have their adherents as well. Why don't you rephrase your rather strident statements to:

"I really hope that Bioware recaptures the magic of Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins. I really enjoyed playing those games and nothing would please me more than to see Bioware release a game that I enjoy as much as them."?

Is that not what you meant?

I fail to see how it was constructive in the first place. All that's happened is that the OP has made the usual claim that DA3 will suck mixed in with some COD/Halo hate while also saying that Bioware sold out it's entire fanbase.

Because that's naive and it's a waste of time, as Bioware have long ago stated their intent to not simply remake old games. Which I don't even want them to do in the first place. I've advocated for dumping pointless race choices and origins which don't affect anything but the first and last hour of the game, so I don't want them to just push out another Origins.

Many, many people like Swtor? Is that why it's gone free to play? Is that why it's server's are dead? "Many, many" compared to what? AoC? Tor might just be the biggest failure the mmo genre has ever seen considering it's budget. Dragon Age 2 has already gone down as one of the worst sequels in video game history. Mass Effect 3 caused an uproar throughout the entire industry. Must we really continue to look at this situation through rose tinted glasses?

I know I do.

Also even though I'm yet to play ME3 by all accounts of peoples opinions that I value the core game is better than ME2 which is one of the better Bioware games to date it just suffers from people being unable to seperate 10 minutes at the end from 30 hours or so of fun.

We will probably never get a game as great as Dragon Age Origins from Bioware again, but Dragon Age wasn't all that bad and Mass Effect 3 was a little better than Mass Effect 2 so there is hope for Dragon Age 3.

I bought Mass Effect 3 on release day, beat it the next day, haven't touched it since. The same goes for DA 2. Origins and every other Bioware game I've ever played (aside from Tor which is a disaster in itself) lasted me months if not years. This is not nostalgia, Bioware games were simply made better before EA. You knew that if it was released by Bioware it was an instant buy. Tell me where that changed?

There is no denying bioware games were way better before EA because they weren't pandering to the lowest common denominator, but Dragon Age 2 was still an RPG just not as much as Origins when compared to Mass Effect 2 which really did not fee like an RPG at all but Mass Effect 3 brought some of those elements back.  So while we will never get Dragon Age Origins and ,ass Effect 1 quality games from bioware again at least we have games that we can import saves from, customize our main characters, and make choices.  Now EA could easily tone those down as well but we will see.  Bioware said they were taking open world into account for DA3 so that is something to look forward too.  While I am not expecting anything as epic as Origins out of 3 I still have hopes it will be better than 2.  The main thing that worries me most about DA3 at this point is MP.  Not only do I not want MP in a SP RPG but I do not want to havbe to play MP to get the perfect ending.

As for Mass Effect I would download the extended cut and Liviathan DLC and you will be happier with the ending trust me.  I'm not going to tell you the ending was amamzing, but playing the Liviathan DLC and watching the extended cut will make you happier than you were when you beat the vanilla game.

He had an honest opinion and at first it wasn't insulting to anyone. It wasn't until the op started to get petty did things get uncontructive. I don't see anything wrong with what he was posting until things started to get petty.

These boards have changed since I've been gone. It seems all the people that actually cared have been driven off. Well done Bioware. I think it's time that I just leave for good now also.

There's more than enough negativity around here already, doesn't seem like one more "oh no, they sold out" voice will be missed?

(Seriously. Anyone would think Bioware is going around killing kittens...)

I'm honestly not sure I could ever bring myself to play Mass Effect again. The third game literally ruined the entire series for me. Maybe one day I will, but it won't be anytime soon. Mass Effect 3 was just... so bad (in my opinion).

I sure do. That was back before Bioware sold out their entire customer base. The last best game Bioware ever made.

Dragon Age 3 will be more of the same garbage that Dragon Age 2 was. Bioware turned their back on the people that made them who they are.

I suggest you walk away in that case. We wouldn't want you to buy another "garbage" game now, would we!
Maybe there are some games forums out there you can poison with your negativity. Don't think it's going to work here though.

I really do not understand these people. If they think Bioware dropped so much, why not follow their lives? If they want to continue being fans of a video game company, why not start frequenting other forums? Rockstar, Bethesda... Get out of here with this negativity!

I'm not the sort of guy to say be happy or get out or whatever, but whaaaa..? You've already decided you're not going to buy the game and yet you waste your precious life seconds on this forum basically sitting there in bitterness when you could be all happy and singing along to bluebirds and the like.

Well considering that I haven't posted here in over a month and that I have been posting on the top rpg developer Bethesda's forum instead, I would say that you're all but having your wish. Ignorance is bliss. Don't listen to reality. Run off anyone that speaks ill of your precious.

Side note: What does Rockstar have to do with any of this? They don't even make rpgs.

I'll tell you exactly how. The developers read it. The developers read the concerns of their product. Not just my concerns mind you. But anyone that dare speak out against their precious. Anyone with an opinion that doesn't bow down and lick their boot.

I think you're describing constructive topics here, ones which present an opinion on something that doesn't work and invite suggestions on how it could be improved. Not ones which just start "Bioware sold out, waa".

But anyone that dare speak out against their precious. Anyone with an opinion that doesn't bow down and lick their boot.

Grow up.
