Of course. It's human nature to always think that you are perfectly rational and capable of having a real debate.

I know I'm #2 who happens to be so wordy that people mistake me for #3 sometimes. And I'm cool with that.

I'm going to disagree about it being natural. People have only claimed to be perfectly rational beings* since the 1800s as part of a larger movement in Western thought for rationality and objectivity to be valued as opposed to personal experience, passion, or intuition.

If you look at the "Age of Enlightenment" you'll see a call to reason in the form of removing religious dogma from society and valuing science, but there's still a very romantic view of human nature and goodness.

*People here meaning 'in general.' Aristotle claimed that women had less teeth than men without bothering to count because he believed he'd reached that conclusion from pure reason.

I was not aware that you were over 200 years old.

People may have had more strong religious views back then, but I sincerely doubt the majority of people considered themselves stupid or incapable of rational thought.

If you said to somebody "You are not worth arguing with, because you are too stupid to think for yourself" I doubt their response would be "You're right, you should ignore what I have to say."

Exactly my point.

He came up with something stupid, but believed himself to be reasonable. That is exactly what I said when I suggested that most people would consider themselves to be option 3 (AKA the only non-idiotic option).

Personally, besides the few major mistakes that they made with Dragon Age 2 it felt equal with Dragon Age: Origins. It seems to be people are unwilling to accept that something has to be sacrificed to deliver the product they keep demanding with such a high production value and since they are steadfast on not paying more for a game the development time has been greatly reduced.

As far as the comparing complaints against Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 3, there were more complaints against Dragon Age: Origins, but complaints against Mass Effect 3 were more vocal and I think part of that has to deal with changes in society, for back when Dragon Age: Origins was first released Facebook and Twitter weren't around and I found the internet became a lot more negative once everyone could start posting whatever they wanted about someone with next to no consequences. This is starting to change, but only in drastic circumstances and especially when it starts to deal with bullying.

Do I want Dragon Age 3 will be like Dragon Age: Origins or Dragon Age 2, I really hope not, for that is when they are really going to start being a Call of Duty or most of sequel clone because then they aren't improving the game at all and just giving people a slightly modified version of what they already bought.

BioWare like any company will change, its how it works for I really don't want companies to be exactly like they were years ago for that means they would be making the exact same mistakes they did back then, even BioWare made mistakes, I just think people were more accepting of them and didn't use it as "proof" that BioWare isn't the company it used to be.

It's not about that. Things like being intuitive, etc. we're valued differently. This idea that you have to derive things from "first principles" is quite recent, and the whole economic calculus that goes along with it too.

Oh nolstagia... I'm not going to lie, DA:O is one of the BEST or at least most memorable games I've played in my short life. It's why I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt for DA3. We KNOW they're capable of doing much better than they have in their last two games.

If you believe the topic deserves lockdown, contact a moderator through private message.
You pointing out which rules have been broken by the thread might also help.
They haven't been afraid of locking down negative threads in the past if they were also against site rules, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
