This may be stupid, but could having local co-op in the online multiplayer Dragon Age III would have be a good idea? There haven't been that many local multiplayer games from what I'm seeing, and people have been talking to me with the concept of, "You can play with anyone around the nation and world, but not with the person sitting next to you." I'd also like to play with my brother on this, because I just can't turn him down from a game that looks interesting and say that we can't play together because the game is not 2-player.

I know Dragon Age III is primarily a single player game, but since multiplayer is a big thing now in gaming, it could work.

If this seems bad or has already been discussed, please don't hurt me. Posted Image

I'm with you on local multiplayer. I would love for this game to support splitcreen functionality, but I would not hold my breath for it.

Personally, I believe that the consoles could support such a feature but the developer doesn't want to spend money implementing it, since they obviously would make more money on a: "One copy per person." system.

I agree, but local co-op doesn't serve as DRM, which is imo the primary reason for the push towards multiplayer.

DRM incl. preventtion (or reduction) of  second hand sales and increasing the cash flow by more microtransaction due to a 2nd stream beside SP DLCs (at least onces MP is established in a single player enviroment.
