Not really, the thing that makes BA outstanding is the easy access to increased, permanent melee-damage. I view Charge as a means to a brawlin'-end on the KroG as well as ensuring recharge of shields, it will not be too different with the BatVan.
Except he can play it safe and drag mooks_towards_him with Lash. Rolling out with a 4BA/6Charge/6Lash/4/6 build ought to be all sorts of fun.

In-game descriptions would disagree with you there; are the Hegemony's citizens being harvested? Yes they are, yet the fight for Khar'Shan continues, as one can gather.
So no, Brotarians are sticking it out, just like the rest.
And I would argue that Salarians make more fitting candidates for being called "terrorists".

There are whole fleets still alive and kicking (with Balak in charge of what's left). And besides, there were a lot of batarian mercenaries out of the batarian space.

Why do you want another vanguard if the bread and butter power (biotic charge) is still bugged out?
ting ting ting ting, you'r character stands still, takes damage and thinks about charging an enemy or not.
Krogans and Vorcha get damage reduction and faster healing/melee damage with kills. The Batarians has nothing.
I am in love with the brawler soldier, but as a vanguard and the current issues? id take a soldier over him.

Batarian VG is going to be awesome. Since vanguard is the only class to not have a new character released it would make sense for him to be made available soon.
I kind of suspect that we will get a solider/infiltrator/engineer this next tuesday followed by our beloved batarian VG the next. But I will be thrilled if we get him without having to wait.
