So I went in to the store in Denerim and bought the Tome of Arcane Technique and used it. But it won't give me the option of becoming a Spirit Healer. It's still locked. Is there some way to fix that other than Warden's Keep?

try it after the landsmeet or get wynne to like you so he will teach you the spirt healer perk

but it should of not done that because i was able to use it before i did anything for the main story line

What level are you? The Arcane Technique one just lets you pick a spell. You need to find the tome of Spirit Healer. Wynne (is a she, not a he) and does not teach the spirit healer skill, no matter how much she likes you. I was surprised by this, but it has been verified on this forum somewhere (a hundred threads ago for me...so I don't remember where, but I am certain it's true. I'm on my like 7th or 8th playthrough. I bought the tome).



So go purchase the tome of the spirit healer.

Where is the tome of the spirit healer though? I haven't seen a tome that says the class in the name. They all say tome of physical technique or tome of arcane technique.

I got my Spirit Healer Manual from the Warden's Keep DLC. If you don't have that, then your only other option is to wait until a character starts the Landsmeet quest and buy it from the Wonders of Thedas.
