Is "Warden's Keep" really worth spending 560 points over?

I have enough points to spend to get this campaign, though I hear the gamplay is about 30 mins, so my question is, is it worth getting, or am I just wasting points I could save up, to get something better. Your thoughts guys, and if there is a better campaign to get at the save price, or if there is a downloadable content I show save for, please do tell. That is if, bioware even accepts points for their downloadable content, please tell me about that stuff too.

PS-please don't tell me too much about the story of the game itself (except wardens keep), I figured I'd asked the people who've play this content.

I found it somewhat lacking, you can get some good items from it though, if I could return the points and the campaign though I would.

The first time it took me 60 minutes to complete the quest. 30 minutes is possible but then you're probably rushing.

It's a bit short but the story is excellent imo (remember, quality>quantity :P) and let's not forget all the new items. The new weapons and armor sets are quite powerful and remain useful until the end of the game.

Hmm thats cool to know. 60 mins is still a good amount of time. I 30 mins would befor a person who knows the gameplay already. But I a question for you, if you could get back the points for this content, would you. Or you're happy with content, that you would not?

Definitely worth it in my opinion. An excellent armour set, a sword, a mage staff, two new merchants, party storage chest and a new two-tier talent tree that doesn't require you to put points into it. What's not to like?

Personally, it sated my desire for more gameplay the first two times, but now it's just like, "Oh, I need to do THAT quest again?  Fine."  Like the others said, the items are nice, but if it were possible, I'd return the content after playing through it once.

If you're a die-hard DA:O fan who just wants to play more now that you've finished, then go for it, but if you're not quite that obsessed with DA:O, I say save your points.

hmm would that chest storage conflict with a mod that already does that?

I think Warden's Keep is very nicely done, I really like it and it gives a lot of information about the Grey Wardens, which is a big plus. Of course there are the very good items too. And yes, you can use both the chest in Warden's Keep and the one you can get from the mod.

So for me it was worth the money for sure.

The Chest Storage mod (player camp) does not conflict with Warden's Keep ;)

I would gladly pay 1000 points for Warden's Keep so yes, I'm happy with the content and would not want my points back.

It's 60 minutes of quality gameplay and if you start a new playthrough you can experience it again. So far I've spent 3,5 hours in Warden's Keep + dozens of hours walking around wearing the new armor/clothing sets.

You can get a couple of unique talents, party chest storage, 2 more merchants, and some good items. It is well worth it to me. Plus more adventure and experience points for your character.

I'd say that just for the Warden Commander's Armor and the Starmetal weapons that the smith can forge for you, it's worth it. And as a mage, the Blood powers you can get there are particularly useful (Dark Sustenance ftw).

The atmosphere is really the only thing Warden's Keep had going for it, so I would say no. I was hoping for something akin to Durlag's Tower in Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast, or Watcher's Keep in Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal. Alas, it was short and not difficult at all.

The best part about it is that afterwards you can get Levi's brother to forge Starfang for you. And of Sophia's armor is awesome too.

I enjoyed it. It was worth the money for me. Really it depends on how strapped for cash you are. And the gear I got, I loved. The Warden armor, Starfang and that darkspawn killing blade (forgot the name) were all staples for me at the end of the game.

I liked it better than the Shale add-on.

Yep. Where I live for the same price I could buy a coffee and a piece of cake. About 15 minutes enjoyment. So it seems fair to me. And so far I've got 9 characters (not all have got that far though), who will all get Starfang, and the armour, and so on. Oh, and the blood mage robes from you know who, if you want.

And let's not forget that Shale likes the place - no pigeons!

Not worth it. It plays like a minor subquest.

Granted it was less expensive than Watcher's Keep (which I loved) but almost no value in terms of stategy or a good fight. Less to it than beating the bandits in Denerim or doing the top floor in the Redcliff Castle. Over 10% of the cost of the main game and less than 2% of the content. I do like the idea of the DLC though and I will probably buy any bigger ones that become available but this one was a weak effort.

Personally I was disappointed. The personal storage is almost worthless. I rarely used it.

I was just wondering what level you have to be to get the best version of the Warden Commanders Armour? I came in at lvl 8, under the illusion that I would get the Tier 7 version and I got a Tier 3 version of the set instead... Hopefully I can load my autosave before encountering Sophia and come back later for a better version.

You could do that, or you could sell it to Mikhael , come back later and buy it back, it will have upgraded . The only thing is it can get expensive.

True enough, that would get expensive... and other than selling a million traps to the woman in Lothering I have no idea how to make money in this game :/

ah yes, i too would like that very much, i'm pretty much a total fanboy of these two dungeons. i hope that dragons peak will serve as a dungeon like that.
i'm also thinking of making a dungeon in the same soul as watchers keep and durlag's tower. a full-week adventure.

Starfang could be considered worth it if you plan on using it. It could be a great sword for Alistair or a pc who is a sword and board warrior. My rogues never have high enough strength to use the one-handed version, unfortunately.
