Why should I trust Bioware to not ship a broken copy of DA3 like they did with M3?

Hello, I'm was a big Bioware fan untill the ME3 was shiped broken. I was incredably distrought by this and was left feeling betrade.

That's not broken. That's simply you not liking the end.

DA2 not allowing you to launch the game becaue the DRM doesn't recognise you as the owner? That's broken. And if it takes over a month to patch, that's why I'm not pre-ordering.

So then your primary reason for liking it seems to be because others didn't, which explains why you like DA2 also I guess....interesting but weird.

No. He's saying that whether or not the majority liked/hated it is irrelevant to him.

DA3 will be another DA2 fail with ME combat wedged into a fantasy game, no choice of race, no skills outside of combat related ones, small scale and limited scope boring humanity centric story which craps on all the lore that came before it and so on.

Anyone who expects any different is blind to what BiowEAre now are.

In short i expect if you liked DA2 (like all 4 of you) then you'll love this crap.

Since I will be one of the four. Yes, I believe I will like it. I am sure I will have wonderful conversations with the other three. YMMV.

I look forward to these wonderful conversations we'll have. I wonder who the other two who liked DA2 are?

Well I'm number three and my wife would be number four. Quest complete!

As for a 'broken copy' of ME3, I must confess mine was fine. Did you save your reciept?

I guess that makes me a "Fifth Ranger":P

NO game is a safe buy, you should always read several professional and gamer reviews before buying any games. provided you can resist the preorder bonuses.

The best judge is your self and fellow gamers.
Playing a game in order to review it professionaly most times means rushing through the game.
And rushing makes you loose most of the things that make a game , a game.
all these subtle things devs add are gone. Just like conversations of npcs in DA games, just like the aesthetic things in the enviroments and lots of others.
Gamespot reviews are a farce. I used to "listen" to every gamespot reviews and after i stoped listening blindly to these reviews i actually enjoyed the games more.
Ontopic : for me DaI will be a safe buy. at least in the  money/time-to-complete fraction.

Allan thanks for your time to come and discuss in here. I hope you are not receiving negativity, we all love the Dragon Age team after all.

Mass Effect 3 screwed EA of a few precious dollars thanks to us truly. Considering they are taking time with this, I think EA is begining to understand you need to spend money to make money, but don't rush or nobody will like it. Of course this is EA though, and they are a pretty meh business when it involves quality, and integrity. Unlike Bioware, who actually try to be like this, but EA gets antsy when they spend a buck on time that could be used counting income from rushed games.

Some people are surprisingly easy to please. Mind if I ask why you liked it when the majority hated it so much? And as for DA2 did you feel it was a step up or down from DA:O?

Oh! I can assure you I am not easy to please as many on this forum will attest. I know what my ideal crpg is and only a handful of people on this forum may actually want to play that ideal. I understand that.

I also do not allow the majority to dictate or influence what I like or dislike. Amazon and Metacritic mean nothing to me because neither is spending my money.

Other people's opinion I take with a grain of salt unless their tastes mirror mine which is hardly ever the case. A few gamers on this forum come very close.

I liked DA2 despite its flaws. I had more fun playing it than DAO. I did not say I did not have fun with DAO. DAO was the better executed game, but for me DA2 was more fun to play.

I make no apologies for what I like or dislike. I made my criticisms of DA2 know to Bioware. I have made my criticisms of all the Bioware games I have played known.

If I had listen to Amazon or Metacritic I would have missed out on a lot of games I liked. YMMV.

ME3 wasn't really a broken game as such.A lot of us didn't like the way the narrative went and we certainly didn't like the endings. We hated the EMS system and the true RPG gamers thought Bioware strayed too far into the FPS genre. But technically, the bugs were minor and benign. DA2 however, was truly a broken game.It became unplayable as you played into the second act.Side quests wouldn't trigger, cameos from DAO characters wouldn't show up, Dungeons and caves were repeated ad nauseum. And of course the horrible slowdown bug.All these elements took many months to resolve.I will wait a month or more before buying Inquisition and only if we aren't forced to play multiplayer.

Add me to the "I liked DA2 even though it's apparently a death sentence" ranks. I also enjoyed DAO, and I anticipate I'll enjoy DA3 just as much at the very least.

Just remember if it is marketed as entirely flawless and you start hearing otherwise here from a lot of different people, odds are the marketing department is playing Pinocchio doing the backstroke in Satan's septic tank again.

That would be correct.
