Idea for weekend challenges: Let the player earn which unlock they want

Bioware, would be be possible to create multiple versions of a weekend challenge, each one giving a different N7 weapon?

Example:
With last week's Krogan challenge, could it have been modified to have 5 (at the time 4) different versions of the challenge? Such as beat the challenge with only a pistol/AR/SR/SMG/SG equipped. The type of gun you used to complete the challenge would be the gun you get as a reward. So if you wanted another rank of Hurricane then you would complete the challenge with only a SMG equipped. Once you complete one version of the challenge then you're done, you can't do all 5 in one weekend.

Just a thought. This way people aren't waiting months and months just to get one unlock of the one gun they actually want. I know I just want more Hurricane unlocks and I'm not looking forward to today's inevitable Eagle VII.

The only potential way to implement something like this would be different variants based on DIFFICULTY, and you could constrain the random generator based on how well you did.

For instance:

1 gold melee medal : You get a random promotional weapon.
5 gold melee medal : You get a random promotional weapon, but you can EXCLUDE one of them from the random roll. Don't want an Eagle? Do this, and remove the Eagle completely.
20 gold melee medals : You get a random promotional weapon, but you can EXCLUDE up to two of them from the roll. Don't want the Eagle, and also don't want the Crusader? Do this.
50 gold melee medals : You can exclude 3 from the roll (effectively can choose exactly what you want).

The numbers would have to ramp up significantly. You could also have this same framework (with perhaps a less steep curve) which allows you to turn back in and "re-roll" the promotional unlock up to 3 times.  You could still get 3 Eagles, but your efforts let you try a couple extra times for that Valiant or Hurricane.

Something along these lines would be possible; it keeps the randomness but allows people to work toward constraining the randomness.
