What you see here is a Banhsee being reduced to half armor from about full Barrier/Armor in roughly 3 seconds (it had lost a bar of barrier from my AF DoT before I actually detonated it). 4 seconds later, the Banshee was dead. (this is including my reload time, and the time it took for me to recover from stun after it attacked me) This was on Gold.

Warp has an evolution called "Expose" that increases the weapon/power damage done to an enemy by 15%. Annihilation Field has an evolution that increases enemy damage taken by 15% from all sources, and the debuff is applied to anyone affected by AF.

What this means: Those of you that play the N7 Fury might have noticed that AF can still kill enemies within the radius, still drains shields and still does damage after it is detonated by Throw. The same thing applies here to the Valkyrie with Warp. When you detonate a biotic combo on an enemy with Warp and AF, you are actually stacking those two debuffs in addition to doing huge spike damage with a biotic combo.

When you combine these two debuffs with a weapon that has ridiculously high DPS like the Reegar Carbine, Piranha, Cerberus Harrier, Hurricane, ect... and stack weapon damage bonuses with gear, passives and consumables it is actually quite hilarious how quickly bosses drop, especially for the Valkyrie being a non Soldier/Infiltrator class.

So the idea isn't to run into a group of troopers and spam Warp. What you should be doing is running towards Scions, Praetorians, Atlases, Geth Primes, Brutes, and Ravagers, double debuffing them and then outright killing them before they become a threat.

Tl;DR the Valkyrie is a better boss killer than the Fury could ever hope to be.

Update: When I was initially typing up this thread I didn't actually intend for it to be a build guide, but since I keep getting asked about it I decided to include my current setup here.

I also took it upon myself to add a few new clips from gold solos using some of the other weapons I mentioned above, since there are a few people still herping and derping over the fact that I used a Reegar Carbine in the first example while completely missing the point.

Harrier vs Banshee:

Image IPB

Total time was 9.8 seconds including the 2 seconds that I was stunned (it happened twice)

Piranha vs Banshee:

Image IPB

Total time was roughly 9 seconds, but if you're on PC and reload cancel with the medigel key it could be faster. I got stunned during my attack with 1 bullet left in the clip, and couldn't use Warp to reload cancel like I normally would

Brutes and Ravagers:

Image IPB

BE/debuff and then two shots = dead Ravager. Brutes are slightly tougher, and can take 4-5 shots. Basically, they don't stand a chance.

Banshee being taken out of her teleport phase in under 3 seconds from the time I start attacking her

How did I achieve this? Warp has an evolution called "Expose" that increases the weapon/power damage done to an enemy by 15%. Annihilation Field has an evolution that increases enemy damage taken by 15% from all sources, and the debuff is applied to anyone affected by AF.

What this means: Those of you that playe the N7 Fury might have noticed that AF can still kill enemies within the radius, still drains shields and still does damage after it is detonated by Throw. The same thing applies here to the Valkyrie with Warp. When you detonate a biotic combo on an enemy with Warp and AF, you are actually stacking those two debuffs in addition to doing huge spike damage with a biotic combo. (that is assuming you specced for the debuffs instead of the movement speed)

Even your Annihilation Field would do silly amounts of damage for a passive ability (it does 245 damage per second with all of the passive power damage bonuses in Asari Valkyrie, before the 30% power damage bonus from Tech Armor, 30% damage taken debuff, 10/20/30/40% power damage bonus from a power amplifier and another possible 15% power damage bonus from gear)

So the idea isn't to run into a group of troopers and spam Warp. What you should be doing is running towards Scions, Praetorians, Atlases, Geth Primes, Brutes, and Ravagers, double debuffing them and then outright killing them before they become a threat.

... On a somewhat related note, I wonder if AF's debuff stacks like Proximity Mine. If so, the biotic death squad is coming back in a huge way. :innocent:

I vastly prefer the Sentinel to the Fury.

 Awesome stuff OP.

Valkyrie is definitely awesome with both Damage Taken evolutions.

Add in Tactical Scan from a QM teammate and the resulting weakness of boss enemies is just lulzy.

Well I guess the people who know the ins-and-outs of this game would've already known this.

I generally use soft cover (whenever possible) near a boss(es) and use both AF and warp debuff and a shotgun (or talon) to kill them quickly. It also works great on banshees to tricking her to do her AOE blast attack which will make her vulnerable to DOT damage and powers again.

Also take advantage of warp's ability to detonate and increase damage of incendiary ammo. Works wonders with the Talon X.

You would be surprised.

I've actually had people tell me that the AF debuffs go away when you detonate it with Warp or Throw..

... Even though the enemies are clearly still taking damage from it.

Annihilation Field's debuff is great, once you get close everything dies in a matter of seconds. But on platinum, getting close is sometimes not an option, and since you have to do lots of running away, the movement speed bonus is more valuable IMO.

On Gold I definitely prefer the debuff though.

Ran it on Gold/Reaper/Reactor earlier with the Collector SMG I with Warp ammo, and both powers set up to debuff the enemies. Just hit things with Warp then dumped the CSMG into them, and even bosses melted fairly quickly. Tech Armor provides a nice little defense bonus while making Warp/AF do a little extra damage, and the cooldown time on Warp was quick enough that I didn't need to be concerned with it.

I think this cinches it for me, time to spec out of mobility and into the debuff.

I was thinking about that today... the Valkyrie is probably better on platinum, while the Fury is better for br/s/g. Dark channel is not as useful on platinum, where fighting bosses in close is better with debuff, more protection and a shotgun.

The only enemy I don't like getting close to is the Preatorian. Everything else I've got no problem with getting into near-melee range with.

/Sigh..

I've always used 4a 5a and 6a on AF for the Fury for the reasons you've stated. Paired with a deadly close range weapon, it allowed the Fury to be a decent boss killer. With TA and Warp, the valkyrie is the best boss killer among power-reliant classes. IMO

Standing that close to an enemy that can sync-kill me makes me entirely too nervous to ever try that. Neat idea, though.

So basically.....

"Damage Taken" for Annihilation Field, and "Expose" on Warp on their rank 5s.

Gotcha.

Very nice post OP.;)  i love playing her like a fury.  i specced for expose on warp but movement speed on AF.  it's fun to explode stuff it takes a little longer to kill banshees but i'll check if i can incorporate you're strategy on my play style.  fire warp on boss do damage with weapon then maybe detonate my AF.  ^_^

I honestly have no idea what is happening there...but, anyway, IA.

I tried to play her like the Fury and failed hard, she isn't meant to be a Fury v2.

Except for the Banshee, which now lacks magnet hands, all of the enemies telegraph their sync kills by meleeing first. The only one that's frightening is the Preatorian because its melee is so fast and it grabs so soon after.

I have her specced that way too, Ashen. I tried using her on mooks, but you're right in she's far more effective at boss level units.

Praetorians are actually really easy with her. Dance with them and they go down quickly.
