Why the Asari Valkyrie should not be played like the N7 Fury. (now with more bad quality pictures!)

I've updated my guide on her a while ago and advised on thisJack Crapper wrote...
You know, I've stated that I like the 4/6/6/6/4 build, but I've been thinking about changing to a 3/6/6/6/5 build. 5% DR vs 15% shield recharge delay reduction. I do find myself taking cover once in a blue moon and wonder if it would be worth having a little less DR.
What are your thoughts on that, Ashen?
To me, the 15% shield recharge is one of the best evolutions in Fitness.

I am letting go 5% DR and going for the 20% headshot damage. But same idea.

TA-radius/damage, power %, recharge speed
AF-damage, damage taken, drain
Warp- damage, expose, pierce
passive- weight/power %, power %
shooty amp, cyclonic modulator, and mental focuser gear
i rock her with a shotty and incendiary ammo. i dont play her like the fury....but i do rock it up close and personal.
i love the wraith on her...and though im not a fan of the piranha...i do enjoy it on her.
I like popping that TA in "Oh-shiet" situations. pop AF to set off BE or in similar "oh-shiet" situations.
but thats just me.

Not sure if it's been said but if you were to have taken incendiary ammo IV rather than warp on the Reeger you would kill her in one clip. Yeah, killing a banshee in about 4 seconds is pretty cool.
I decided not to use Incendiary because people would whine about how I exploited a bug, and completely miss the point.

Incendiary Ammo does way more DoT than it should when you use it on a warped target.

so it adds 50% damaged to a round fired....and that times % from the debuff/effects of warp?
i dunno...sounds kinda sketchy to me. would use
maybe we see more warp users running around.

God I hate when people post threads like this. Just because you found an effective way to play a class doesn't mean that it is the way to play that class. Playing a BE-Valkyrie is highly effective as well. Personally I love when classes have more than one effective build.
dozens of people made threads complaining this class would be boring and useless before and after release...
all this thread does is prove that shes awesome.
Your overly critical interpretation is strange.
shes fun to play and this shows some people who thought shed be stupid why... why is that a bad thing?

Your shameless self promotion is kind of off topic.
I didn't insinuate that the Fury is a bad class at any point in this thread, this post was a counter to all of the "Asari Valkyrie is a gimped Fury because Warp has a slower cooldown than Throw and all that matters with biotic classes are biotic explosions" threads that kept popping up when the class was released.
Any class in the game is a destructive force in the right hands.

This is by no means "the only way to play the class", but it is one of the most effective ways. The idea was to illustrate what the Valkyrie can do that the Fury can't since people obviously couldn't grasp that they are different characters, and the similarities between the classes begin and end with AF.

i think that Ashen Earth did the right thing by making this thread because hes is showing a very good build for the ppl that never played the Asari Valkyrie or who wants to play with her with her fullest potential. I also love the point that this post he made has nothing to do with how the Asari Valkyrie or the Fury being better then one other becuase i'm tired of dealing with posts like that.Ashen Earth wrote...

and i AGREE( The idea was to illustrate what the Valkyrie can do that the Fury can't since people obviously couldn't grasp that they are different characters, and the similarities between the classes begin and end with AF.) The fury is an adept and the asari valkyrie is an sentinel why compare them when they don't even have the same class which doesnt even serve for the same purposes in combat role -.-

Actually the bug causes the Incendiary Ammo's DoT to climb up to absurd exponential levels. I think the tests done had the DoT climb up to 1.5k per tick, having lasted for 5 ticks, I believe, for a grand total of another 7.5k damage.
So yes, that bug in particular is crazy.

Thank you for expanding upon the thread!
1 question though -- what is this about removing the Banshee's ability to sync kill? What am I missing here? When her own Annihilation-like Field goes down that means she is unable to sync kill? Only when she revs that back up and starts teleporting can she sync kill?

Banshees have two phases, one where they teleport around and can sync kill and another where they walk around and throw Warp. Doing enough damage to them while in the teleport phase moves them to the Warp phase, which the Valkyrie can do very quickly.

This.
The Banshee's attack patterns are very obvious once you've fought enough of them. A Banshee will always scream at the player before she starts teleporting around trying to grab people. With the Valkyrie, it's very easy to do enough damage to stop the Banshee's teleport cycle before she's actually able to sync kill.

It will also free grabbed squadmates reliably.

Using a Wraith V is very good but I'll have a try with your other suggestions as well
