You mean like the fist fights in the taverns in Witcher?
I never played the Witcher, but I got this idea from KOTOR2. I remember a part where there was a large group of civilians protesting against the queen and they start to fight each other in unarmed combat. It was hilarious.

A Duel Wielder will fight unarmed differently than a Two hander.

That might be a little too much.

true.
Taijutsu(as a martial art concept): Foundation of Taijutsu is unarmed combat but Taijutsu's Unarmed Combat Skills will always supplement Any Weapons that a Taijutsu practitioner carries. So In short there is no such thing as a Pure Unarmed Martial Art or A Pure Weapon Martial Art.

Unless they use it as a complete style with it's own weapon tree, it seems like a waste of time trying to implement.
there is nothing wrong with that.

Rogues will fight different from Warriors and Mages. Of course Warriors will be different from Rogues and Mages. And Mages will fight different from Rogues and Warriors.
For example:
Warriors: Hung Gar Kung Fu
Rogue: Taijutsu
Mage: Tai Chi Chuan

That way, you could have various elemental punches and kicks and mages giving their attacks extra kinetic energy with magic.
I don't think I'd want to see it for every class. I'd rather they all got distinct weapons styles.

That seems like both a waste of developoment resources (unless unarmed combat was the point of the game), and an unnecessary pigeon-holing of characters by class.DeathScepter wrote...
Sylvius, This thread is more about refinement of Unarmed combat while making it unique to all classes.

If there were different unarmed styles, I would be very annoyed that my mage could only use the one for mages, or that my warrior could only use the warrior style.
I would accept stat-limiting combat styles (just as many weapons are stat-limited), but restricting combat-styles by class is not something I would support. Unless there was some magical aspect to the mage style - that sort of restriction would make sense.
Just as combat roles should not be enforced by class, nor should combat styles. In DAO, any character class could use any melee combat style. That's the only standard I will accept.

It was almost mandatory in the mage origin.Pzykozis wrote...
I'd just be happy to have proper supported unarmed combat, Sylvius sure you could punch people but.. uh that wasn't really supported by the game.

AD&D handled this well. Armed attacks on unarmed foes had a big To Hit bonus. I'd expect something similar.DarkKnightHolmes wrote...

I do agree with you on many points. Mage style will use a lot of magic to supplement both Unarmed and Weapons.
Unarmed Martial arts regardless how they are done will supplement all weapons styles a great deal.
Basicly having good synergy to two unrelated weapons systems and still have viable character
