I'm glad you can finally see the light Julia. I was afraid that you'd never make it. That you'd continue to wallow in the mire of mediocrity - the mire of Destroy/Control/Refuse. This is a great day. Both for you, for reaching enlightenment, and the Synthesis community for obtaining such a great member.

After all, it's what Saren would have wanted...

In the name of the the Deus Ex, the Casey and the Holy Walters.

Amen.

Turns out Seival was right, we should have embraced it months ago:O

Another plus for the wonderful, magical world of synthesis. Joker's cyborg hat can give him a few vital milliseconds of warning when it starts to rain. He can then automatically deploy a built-in cyber umbrella.

I imagine it popping out Joker's butt like Eric Cartman's satellite dish. Thereby saving Synthe-Joker from shorting out in the wet. Hurrah!

I really think this idea is great. Imagine having the strengths of both organic and machine and the weaknesses of neither. I've been setting up a computer network for the past six weeks and have been coming up with all these little changes I want to make on the fly. It dawned on me today how much easier this would be if synthesis were real. I could personally interface with the network and just think it and the network would understand and align itself to my thought patterns. Wow. I wouldn't have had all the trouble getting all these contraptions working, and I wouldn't have had all the licensing issues with the companies because the computers and I could have communicated directly and talked things out rather than having to go through the people who were constantly making mistakes.

And then speaking of the people, we wouldn't have had to worry about the language barriers either since I could communicate digitally with them by thought. So that would eliminate a lot of problems right there.

I really hope Bioware makes Synthesis canon for the next Mass Effect game. It would be a wonder utopia.  :wizard:

Yes, Synthesis is the best way to expand ME lore. Just imagine the possibilities, and keep in mind reserved Dark Energy Plot :)

... And actually there is a way to make Synthesis inevitable without making any ME3 ending canon:

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH MY GOODNESS!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH MY SIDES...MY SIDES!!!1

I'm dying! I"M DYING!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Sieval your new banner is simply adorable!! I LOVE IT!

You really are the best troll ever!

@Julia, yes. I agree. Synthesize rules! They need to make it canon so wecan love Robertts.

My new banner is nice indeed, and I'm not a troll.

I just reached the final stage of ME understanding. ME universe is awesome, and Synthesis is the best way to expand it.

Is this really necessary? Did you have to go out of your way to mock an ending that you don't like?

What makes you think she's doing that?

The satirical tone is quite evident and it comes off as condescending.

Tone... is part of that 97% of face to face human comunication that's not delivered by text.

What 'tone' you read from bare text, probably says more about what you brought to the thread. kinda like a rorshach blot.

Utopias don't work and never will
The only reason utopias are used in stories is to show that under all the pretty glitter their is a ton of problems occurring.

Demolition man's future Utopia springs to mind. While ppl who don't want to be a part of it starve underground.

Or H.G. Wells The Time Machine with passive, pretty and blond catalogue models roam the surface like happy meals on legs for the Morloc's munchie raids.

That's the thing about free will, someone is always going to be evil, the only way utopia occurs is to suppress free will.  And if that's the case, what's the point in living as slave to the will of others?

Of course all this is for naught as the whole reason for this is the false belief that two distinctly different groups of sentient life can under no circumstance coexist peacefully without some form of reaper intervention, despite the fact that they are currently coexisting peacefully.

To Super MAC, yes. He wanted to have an ending as great as the Helios ending of DX:Invisible War. You know, that Deus Ex sequel which was never made?

Everything Synthesis does, Destroy and Control can achieve with time and without resorting to mass augmentations. The reason why EDI and the geth die in Destroy is because if they didn't, there would be no reasons at all to choose Synthesis. NONE.

All hail Super MAC, the First of His Name, His Holiest Grand Artist, the Master of the Royal Pen, Vanquisher of Franchises and Steward of the Province of Margarita.

Ha ha ha.  Actually, perhaps in synthesis you can toast that bread in your hand before you eat it.  Great post SJ.  Too funny.

Personally, it's all about the eyes, but since my eyes are already green I'm ok with it.  I just think it would be great to get a tan just by willing it.  Or to set an internal alarm clock (sorry to all clock makers, but they're no longer needed).  And think of all the other tech we won't need.

What's so great about learning anything, isn't it better to just know stuff?  I'd trust reaper knowledge.  So, it'd be really cool to just know everything from their perspective (and have synthetics fully understand organics from that perspective too).  The logic behind them is so pristine and perfect, I wish it could happen today.

OMG, yes the triple synthesis theory.  Where your one suggestion is that everyone who is waiting to be synthesized should be rounded up and put in "reservations" on planets until it happens.  Wow.
