Haha wow I do remember that. They were all black and scary, and we had no idea how we were suppose to fight them.

I remember how most people had only 2 rockets to use a match except a few lucky few who managed to snag the maximum slots TEN. Ten rockets- ten med gels...wahhhhahat.
I remember everyone asking on Mic "didya finish the campaign already huh?" "what part are you on?"..etc. Always chatting about the campaign story itself and whether we reached the end yet and if we spoiled it for ourselves etc.
I remember everyone asking everyone if they played ME1 and 2 also...

 I just miss when packs were special on weekends, and how unlocking brand new characters/weapons (the base characters) was the coolest thing.

Granted, if that was STILL how it was now, it would be utterly boring. But you know, you miss that stuff.

No I don't actually I found out on accident. I noticed every time I'd use a power just at the right time it would stop my reload. It took me a few days to realize what was going on . Then I exploited the heck out of it. I do it in all my games now lol. I may have been part of the forums for awhile but I never really came here before I'd say two months after release and I started coming here regular ( by that I mean you guys are my favorite forum )

Now casters have acolyte which is lighter, instantly reduce shield, and can deal with armor far better than falcon, thus making the pre-nerf lightning fast falcon more memorable

I remember it took my and one other friend a ton of matches to actually finish a bronze. We were duoing it, didn't feel like joining the public until we had upped our skill a bit. Damn, Gold, even Silver seemed completely unapproachable back then. That was just the demo. Good old Firebase White vs. Cerberus.

When the Falcon was like that, I used it in a match, and a guy said "I'd kill my own mother to have a Falcon!"

I'll take the Falcon over the Acolyte anyday.
Feels better against mobs and the blast is instant and doesn't bounce off target making it better for aoe incinerate spread.

i remember playing the demo when it came out and being mad that i never got the turian after it closed

I remember clearly my first 3 man Gold Extraction. It was during the demo days vs Cerberus White. I don't remember if we just started the lobby or if the 4th dropped, but I hadn't played Gold that much yet, so it was INTENSE!

I was an AA, and the other two were Turian Sentinel and a Human Engineer (or Sentinel... don't remember that part)

I had Stasis and a maxed out Carnifex (V was the ceiling at the time, right?), and they were doing work with whatever they had going.

I was using Stasis on every Phantom that was swarming us, and we kept getting pushed back and pushed forth. It was so exciting and hectic, I'm surprised I didn't break my controller. I remember how sweaty my hands were and how fast my heart was beating. I imagine my eyes were as big and round as the full moon, which is saying something because I'm Asian.
We beat it in just under 30 min, which I thought was amazing at the time. lol

After the match, I had to message them, "You guys rock! OMG That was so intense!"

Now, it's not so big a deal when people duo solo Gold. My, how things change.

Edit:  I should add that I also remember how long it took me to unlock the Carnifex and AA again after that.  I don't know why, but I was hoping I'd be able to save all the stuff I unlocked when the game was released, and I remember how disappointed I was.  And so my relationship with the RNG began...
