I doubt that BioWare would do an entire playthough-exclusive Chapter, but I would like to see some plot/quest divergence depending on important decisions made in the game.
Alternatively, I'd rather these things not be based on class, gender, backgrounds, and such, as those are innate to the character instead of choices they make.
Thoughts on Split Chapters?

Like Act3 in DA2? Depending who you side with, Mages or Templars, you get different missions and NPC reactions

In an ideal game there'd be lots of divergence. But of course it's a matter of resources, so you want to be efficient about it.
I think you can achieve a lot by keeping the divergence to key points rather than having whole chapters. The last segment of the game is a good place to put in divergence of course, because you don't need to get things back on track, and you can include consequences to things from earlier in the game.
I'd also like to see distinct sections at the ends of chapters and the starts of the next ones.

I wouldn't object to it, but it's not something that I find particularly valuable.

It would be nice if they did a Witcher 2, having 2 totally different paths would be amazing.

I am very much in favour of meaningful choices, which in turn would likely require some sort of split. A good example of meaningful choice is accepting or turning down Morrigan's offer in DAO. It happens late, but it's potentially a game changer.
