oing back to DA:O style of exploration and questing in a wide sandboxed world, will we be able to influence the way the world reacts to the mage uprising.

Lets just say there are numerous cities and towns spanning most of THE Dragon Age Scene, THEDAS. In these cities and towns are tons of side quests and hints about locations of caverns and old complexes where we can find unique maps and adventure in DA3.

Among these towns, cities, and nations there can be factions. Mage rebels, The Chantry, Ex-Chantry or "Liberated" Templars who hate the Chantrys reign but feels that the Templars methods of mage control are a good to the world, The Return of the Tevinter Imperium, Trade Guilds and their mercenary armies, the Qun Invasion, and a Second Exalted March to purge Thedas of all Qunari and Renegades. And the player can (or should for sponsorship to fund his adventure and to advance the main plot of one factions domion over all) join one of these factions and help them take over Thedas, or usurp their leader at the end and rule the faction and Thedas himself/herself.

Storm of Zehir was close with its use of an Overland Map, town quests, trade guilds, trading caravans, and mob packs that would imfinitely spawn in the world from which to gather reagents to craft potions, traps, magical items from, provided you had a crafter (Wizard was really the only class to effectively do this as there was no Artificer class).  Only problem in SoZ was the LOADING SCREENS, sweet merciful emprah the loading screens hurt me.

In addition to having to battle the numerous powers all battling for control, like the non-player joinable Antivan, Orlais, the Qun, and Darkspawn (either freed with the help of the Architect and disallusioned Wardens who now are unwilling to coexist, or as a rabble that wont leave the Deep Roads but is causing issues with numerous raids from out of the deep roads, threatening to overrun Orzammar and raid the surface without a Blight) the player will decide the fate of the towns and cities as the story progresses.

Some towns will be beset by Darkspawn, raiders, or renegade Blood Mages and should the player not react quick enough the town will be irrevocably destroyed, and all NPCs and their associated quests are gone.

Some towns will not agree to the players faction, persuade them otherwise, show them you are a hero, beat them into obedience, enslave them, or simply execute them all as a warning to those who would oppose your faction. Again no NPCs alive = no quests but new quests can crop up due to the use of ruthless tactics (as well as a MASSIVE chunk of xp and gold earned that would have taken hours to earn through actually doing the quests)

When the game is all said and done with, what will remain of the Thedas your Male/Female Human/Elf/Dwarf fought for? Will it be a battle-hardened but peaceful world, a ruthless tyranny of fear and slavery, a corrupt land of exploitation and greed, or a burned out lifeless husk of a world *drops Poetry for Dummies "crap sec"* void of peace and filled with strife?

However you always should have a way to Break the Golden Path in a game scenario like this, Awakenings almost did it well with the Save Amaranthine or Vigil Keep but you damn the other, however, you COULD save both with enough hard work.  Sometimes you should make it impossible to save everyone.

I just felt like ranting. Posted Image

Yes please. I definitely encourage any system that brings me more politics and power.
