I refer to this image here in which a female hawke, while dressed in feminine colours, is wearing obvious male attire to the orlesian party in MoTa.

I understand that one must be able to fight in clothing at a moments notice which one could just as easily do in a skirt as well as pants.Honestly... disregarding how atrocious, artless and cynical the purple & blue striped pants looked, you had the gall to put her in a work uniform blue dress shirt as well, with some sort of holiday vest to mingle with the who's who of orlais.I never felt so out of place in a party.

It would've been better if the female protagonist had worn a nice white ruffled blouse, a knee cut black skirt with a nice waist belt, topped off with some of those knee high fur boots from the Anderfels. But that's neither here nor there, what's done is done... What you can do is make sure you include some form of fashion sense for the future.

Please, if Dragon age 3 is possibly going to be centered around politics which could have my protagonist mingling with the high nobility, I ask for the option to mingle in a beautiful dress or skirt like a proper lady, not pants like a man or those horrendous multicoloured nobility dresses you seem to be so fond of.

I also request that we have two different sets of matching attire in dark colours if the event is in the eve and bright colours if the event is during the day so as not only to offend the eyes but dark colors help to guard against the evening air and bright colors allow the body to breathe during the day.

Better yet just post concept art of the casual, formal, after hours ware before you implement it in game.I'd rather not have to come back a year from now complaining about how you devastated the tsaritsas of good fashion with another multi colored Atrocity. You'd think you had a blind woman drawing the dress sketches.

Thank you for your time

I didn't mind the MotA clothes. The colors were garish but the design was fine otherwise. I was there to rob people, not to mingle with the nobility.

I just want to chime in here and ask if you have any pictures for these outfits.

Opinions: everyone has them. I liked the MotA outfit on f!Hawke, aside from the collar which could have stood to be a bit more fitted, and was quite glad not to be stuck in a skirt simply because she's female.

Agreed. It made sense for male hawke to wear an outfit like that... But for a fem hawke.... well it just seemed a bit oafish.

I like that look. Sort of an Annie Hall thing, except she needs a floppy hat.

Didn't ya know, women should never wear pants to a party!

Eh, my Hawke is "new money," doesn't follow Orlesian fashion trends (hell, look at what I'm wearing for Act 3) and was only there to rob the host. I'll live.

And mods will always succeed where Bioware is perceived to fail. Like being unable to romance your sister.

I suppose I could get behind having the option of a dress in DA3, provided two things: 1) there was also the option of pants, and 2) the male PC would also have the option to wear a dress. Some of my m!Hawkes would have been delighted to show up to Duke Prosper's in ruffles.

Maker, don't remind me - I had to resort to mods to change it into a dress. The vanilla party outfit wasn't that bad, but still.

Unfortuately, the closest my mHawke got was his Hugh Hefner smoking jacket. But, when Mother is gone and the girfriend is away, the skirts and dresses came out to play..... :wizard:

Wouldn't it be more fun to play with the skirts and dresses with the girlfriend there?  There has to be a fetish for that.

Yes, I demand that MalePC have the opportunity to be festooned as well. (1:40)

DEMAND.

I have to agree some choices left me wanting. I'm not saying I hated the outfit, but I was also pretty quick to find a mod. I understand we want a tough female character but that doesn't mean she can't wear a dress. You should see my rugby team when we go out for a night, I garuntee most of those tough girls don't wear mens clothing.

I demand that every single one of Boulton's lines be rewritten to require the word festooned.

I also want him to say "I'm a pretty girl." (with Aggro Hawke voice)
I cried from laughter, you made my day! :D

LOL. That outfit was so fugly. When I saw it, I wondered if the devs used the same outfit for male Hawke. (Did they?) Either way - ew. All the other women at the party were dressed cute, and my fem Hawke looked socially challenged. lol. She should have just finished off the "fancy" look by putting her hair up with a scrunchy and slipping on a pair of crocs.

Also that house robe = major frump.

FemShepard was butch and looked silly in a dress. She sits like I do when lounging on the couch with a bowl of popcorn in my lap. FemHawke was rather feminine. The hip sway especially.

Man appropriate appearance is homogenized far more than woman appropriate appearance. It sucks for men who don't fit that mold, but also means that dressing men is relatively simple. A 'nice suit' is an unmarked state.

Alternatively, women have a greater range of acceptable fashions and all their choices are marked states.

So yeah... I don't envy BioWare in dressing female PCs. My own suggestion would be to limit the range of acceptable women clothing in some events. You do, after all, control the culture of Thedas. Perhaps women are allowed lots of choices in everyday wear but at formal events, that's not the case.

Nice LOL Was going to post the exact same thing.

FYI I never wear dresses. When invited to fancy parties, you're lucky I show up in trousers instead of jeans. Oh, and wait for................. I'm female.

GASP, I know.
