I refer to this image here in which a female hawke, while dressed in feminine colours, is wearing obvious male attire to the orlesian party in MoTa.

I understand that one must be able to fight in clothing at a moments notice which one could just as easily do in a skirt as well as pants.Honestly... disregarding how atrocious, artless and cynical the purple & blue striped pants looked, you had the gall to put her in a work uniform blue dress shirt as well, with some sort of holiday vest to mingle with the who's who of orlais.I never felt so out of place in a party.

It would've been better if the female protagonist had worn a nice white ruffled blouse, a knee cut black skirt with a nice waist belt, topped off with some of those knee high fur boots from the Anderfels. But that's neither here nor there, what's done is done... What you can do is make sure you include some form of fashion sense for the future.

Please, if Dragon age 3 is possibly going to be centered around politics which could have my protagonist mingling with the high nobility, I ask for the option to mingle in a beautiful dress or skirt like a proper lady, not pants like a man or those horrendous multicoloured nobility dresses you seem to be so fond of.

I also request that we have two different sets of matching attire in dark colours if the event is in the eve and bright colours if the event is during the day so as not only to offend the eyes but dark colors help to guard against the evening air and bright colors allow the body to breathe during the day.

Better yet just post concept art of the casual, formal, after hours ware before you implement it in game.I'd rather not have to come back a year from now complaining about how you devastated the tsaritsas of good fashion with another multi colored Atrocity. You'd think you had a blind woman drawing the dress sketches.

Thank you for your time

Hmmm.

I understand gender expectations and whatnot are hard to disassociate from a thread asking about women's attire, but I guess I'll agree with Maria's perspective that it seems to be a more complicated process of dressing women in a way that won't bother someone than it would be a man.

I have no problems with a thread asking for particular clothing for women in certain situations because that's what a poster finds fun/interesting/attractive/whatever. I would prefer that the discussion in the thread avoid a more in depth discussion of feminism and what sort of messaging BioWare, or the people making such requests, are sending by doing so. It makes the discussion much more political in nature which would lead to me closing the thread down.

I was super scared how far south the thread was going as I read, but yay, still not locked!

Discussing the outfits and what you do and do not like about them, while respecting other people may have different ideas for what they'd like their characters to wear, and I don't see why this would necessarily have to be closed :)

EDIT: Tidied up and remoevd some posts simply to try to keep things less political.
