And all data Dr. Eva collected was available do Liara. There is really no excuse for her to miss that info expect the fact she is not a SB level information broker.

Humanity had the archive for over 30 years to research, and didn't find the blueprints for a superweapon. Liara found them in less than 6 months. And Liara is not a SB level information broker because an advanced synthetic can datamine computers faster than an organic? That's your argument?

.
No.
.
I'm saying she is not a top tier Information because with the same info she had TIM figured out the Prothean Beacon on Thessia, while she didn't.
.
Illusive Man: Shepard.

Shepard: How did you find this place?

Illusive Man: The Archives, or did your Shadow Broker miss that one?
.
That and the fact she don't give you any important information thoughtout the entire game, only Traynor does. And she didn't know what was going on Horizon, which was a pretty big deal for a SB to know.
.
And about Liara archeological skills... given her picture of the prothean race I don't think she was very good at that either. The fact she found the Crucible devices have to do with her skills, obviously, but also has to do with the alliance investing a lot to find it.

While she may not be giving Shepard (the player) "important" information on a regular basis...

...if you go into her room a lot...she's constantly using her contacts, resources, and information to help out the galaxy for the war.

Sure...you can say she's not a top tier information broker because she didn't come across the data TIM did...or that she didn't come across the data Traynor did for Horizon...but you have to take into the account that she is doing things to help the galaxy all over...and can't focus solely on one thing.

She's helping people all over the galaxy...while TIM is just focused on the crucible and the reapers...and Traynor is just focused on things the Normandy can help with.

I'm not saying TIM and Traynor aren't good at what they do...I'm saying that Liara has much more on her plate.

Though personally...I like that TIM is better with information than Liara.

I'm gonna try a playthrough romancing Liara through all three games though, I might like her a bit more that way. But I don't really like the thought of romancing an Asari (although I like the romance dialogue between Shepard and Samara in Mass Effect 2, it's pretty sad). I don't really find Asari that attractive and I find it weird how they aren't really male or female, and Liara is over 100 and is going to outlive Shepard by centuries (so overall, he probably won't mean that much to her in the long run considering she will probably have many more partners after Shepard, even with the High-EMS Destory ending). Also when Shepard is really old, she is still going to look young. But I will do a Liara Romance Playthrough soon.

Edit: I like the idea of Liara romancing Feron, or in my playthrough, at the end Javik said that after Earth, he was going to travel with Liara and write a book on being a Prothean or something like that. I could see them eventually getting together and making Asari-Prothean babies.

I'm not a fan of Liara and any dislike I have of her is Bioware's fault for making her their pet character. She WILL get haters then, even if it isn't her fault. There's so much I hate about the Asari in general but it's because of something that happened all the way back in ME1. Killing Liara seems overdone to me but I wouldn't even want to kill the reporter character even though I despite her, I'm too nice for those things. :P

I'm all for respecting each others characters and what not. But I keep running into people who go to the roof just because Thane fans weren't happy with how he died and the hope we were tricked on and that we're fools for having a different wish for OUR most beloved character.

As long as none goes DEMANDING to get respect, sure, go ahead and ask people to be more considerate. But don't hold your breath, the hate and spite is rooted deep into BSN and every other forum. :P

OP, are you Mac Walters?

I don't like Liara. Deal with it.

I won't kill her, but she has no place on my ship (scrub off the crappy alliance emblem as well. The Normandy is NOT an alliance ship either. It's MY ship)

In any event, if all you want to talk about is how good specific characters are, you should make your thread in the Character and Romance forum.

They can't; Priestly locked it after all the Miranda fans had some kind of civil war.

This description (and the mental image) doesn't stop being funny, no matter how many times I read it in varying forms across the forum.

I don't have any real issue with Liara as a character. What I do have a issue with is that the game kinda feels like it is trying to be forcing you to choose her as your LI at several points.

If she's not whining she's gawking over Shepard.

Just saying.

It's funny how many different characters show that Lirara is a useless Shadow Broker.  And it's funny how they know like Wrex.

Even when the writers try to make her her omniscient she still fals.

Liara is overrated. I'm not a big fan of hers, and to be honest, I really don't want her on the ship with me.

I understand she has a very valuable and important job to accomplish.

My question is why does she need to be on the Normandy with me?
I think that job would be more suited for her from a central command position of some kind.

Plus she wouldn't be intruding on my personal space so often. Plus the room she is using is sacred (to me) since it is Miranda's office. It just feels like an insult to put her in there instead of Miranda.

Stop it ... just stop this hatred. Now Liara is the most intelligent and beautiful squadmate in Mass Effect period. You might cant stand but the truth is truth. Liara is a goddess.

I wish we had the option to designate her as a War Asset, like you can with the VS.

Quiet, you.

If anything needs to stop, it's this thread. It doesn't do Liara or the people who enjoy her character any justice.

Liara is definitely my 2nd favorite character, but Wrex was always my favorite, he was by far the best character in the trilogy, he was absolutely superb in ME1, I define him as a Krogan genius. He had the best lines too and delivered them exceptionally well, when I recently replayed ME1 I had him on a lot of the missions, and convos, he even piped up sometimes in those convos when no one else ever did, and his one liners were great.

As for Liara in ME1 she was fantastic, though I thought her role in ME3 was a bit diminished, she hardly ever said anything on the ship. She was awesome in LOTSB, I continued my romance with her, but in ME3 when I see her again it's as if she forgot that we were continuing the romance, but regardless she's a fantastic character and integral to the trilogy.

Well ya see. Humans have this thing called opinions. And because we are not all the same person and think exactly alike, we all have different tastes in what we like or dislike.

It's a crazy concept, I know.

I'm not here to bash.

I'm not fond of her, nor will I ever be. I'm not fond of Tali or Ashley either. In fact I have a particular hatred for Ashley.

I said nothing against her whatsoever. I can, but I won't.

I like liara, but the treatment of her above all other characters was unacceptable, not only are the other character disrespected but so is liara
