So I've killed the smugglers, there is a marker over Aiden's head, and when I talk to him he asks if I have news on the smugglers and I cannot turn in the quest...

Update: Don't make my mistake by going straight to the Smuggler's Den and killing them there. I hadn't played the expansion for a time, so I didn't realize there was a whole chase through the city I needed to engage before the rest would properly trigger. Do the chase, then you'll be set to finish the quest properly.
