Loving NWN1! Just loving it! And I'm only in Chapter 2 of the original campaign. But I was hoping to play some of the community-created modules and perhaps try my hand at a module of my own. So I dl'd some modules and the CEP 2.4 and installed them, ready to expand my Neverwinter horizons. Alas, to my dissapointment everytime I try to run anything that involves CEP 2.4 content it freezes on the load screen. Perhaps it is something simple I have not done properly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am especially excited to play some of the great sounding modules and gameworlds out there in the community. Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

If you don't get CEP to work, it's not all that bad because the majority of the best single player modules don't use it anyway. CEP is used a lot by PWs, not so much in single player modules.

That's good to hear Zwerkules. I'll look around for more modules that do not require CEP. As far as building my own mods, I suppose I could download individual tilesets to be used, correct? I would just need to put them in the correct folder and make sure that whoever plays my module also has that tileset installed?

Yes, that's how you do it - and from my point of view that is a lot better than using CEP tilesets.
There are great tilesets out there which don't get used because builders are stuck somewhere (or sometime?) in 2003 and still think the CEP tilesets are the best they can get, which is lightyears away from the truth.
Have a look at tilesets made by Sixesthrice (Six), Chandigar, Lord of Worms (WoRms), Senemenelas (Sen) and CODI and you'll see what I mean.

<popping up behind the dwarf...>
...and no modern *cough* mod would look quite as good without Z's Medieval City

or Rural tileset with elven and halfling houses

or ...ok, too much Good Stuff ;-)
And check out this thread for more tileset options...

Some tilesets that I like:
And Project Q is an amazing add on of custom content that is much leaner than CEP, and well maintained. It has some very nice tilesets in it as well on top of all the other goodies.
- Wild Woods and Wild Lands by six
- TNO City Reskin by six
- Shadowplane Exterior by senemenelas (based on Seasonal Forest by Lord of Worms)
- Underdark by senemenelas
- Biomines, Bioforest and Biointerior by Zwerkules
- Medieval City and Medieval Rural by Zwerkules
- classic Dungeon and Versatile Dungeon by Maxam
- CODI Sigil Exterior and Stem Interior by CODI with fixes by Friedeyes
- Underdark Spider Caves by Diademus/Babayaga
- Oriental Rural Tileset by Coulisfu
- Rocky Mountains – Immersive Swamps – Hut Interiors – Marble Elven Interiors Redux by Lord Rosenkrantz
- Gothic Interiors by Chandigar
- Fantasy Interiors by Lord of Worms

Thanks everybody. There is an overwhelming amount of stuff out there. I actually found out that some of the problems I was having was because my version of Neverwinter was not updated to 1.69 even though I bought it recently in the 'Neverwinter Nights Complete' release.

This sounds as technical issue maybe too slow computer, I don't know. Could you tell us your specs? That is, alternatives are there but if you are SP oriented player, this issue will block you many modules.mttbstrd666 wrote...

At any rate - it's not your fault, CEP2 crossed several game limits and contains so much content (of various quality) that this black screen is usual - it is simply misprouct of the retrieving datas from 2DAs (which in MP must be downloaded I guess), but this black screen is only when you log in with your character and normally goes off after short time.
