It's strange to see that most people don't want to see Oghren based on his role in Awakening, I think he was even more awesome there than in Origins, though I can understand that drunken dwarves are no ideal favorites.

I'd want entirely new companions in DA3, but as for cameos of previous characters:

I'd love to see: Loghain (and before anyone flips, IF he wasn't killed), Fenris, Anders (again, IF he wasn't killed), Morrigan
Who I'd never want to see again: Merrill (especially if she was killed)

She drove me nuts, I'm sorry.

This (although my characters had other LIs, the point remains the same^^). I wouldn't mind hearing what they're all up to, though. I mean, in DA2 I liked hearing that my Warden and Anora were doing well ruling Ferelden, for example.

As for one character I'd like to see return...it'd be Loghain. Considering the choices you can make in DA:O regarding him, it's unlikely that he'd get a big role in DA3, but it'd be cool, imo.

A character I don't want to see again? Hm...I can't think of one. The ones I wouldn't want to see again Hawke or the Warden could (and did) kill in my pts so for me the "problem" is solved. If plausible they should still be in the game though, in case other players wanted to see them again.
I wouldn't mind having a cat instead of a dog for once, though.

As companions? I don't want anyone returning. As cameos, if it makes sense--Zevran comes to mind as someone on the run with Crows after him, moving around would just be healthier than settling in one place--Alistair could be king on a mission or passing through a town with other Grey Wardens if Anora sits on the throne. Loghain, too, is supposed to be in Orlais so for those who kept him alive, a cameo by him would make sense.

On a wish list of who i would want the most and who I would dislike seeing the most:

Cullen, if logically in wherever Hero #3 is based (and I have faith Bioware will give us a reasonable explanation) would be my favorite to return.

Anders I never, ever, ever want to see ever again. I left his body to cool on the stones of Lowtown, and frankly unless I have the option to go pee on his grave, I don't want him around my next PC.

Lol we would know yes, but would be fun to see the PCs reaction to going on a long mission to save a crossbow, OR... the twist is Bianca is actually a person like Varrics wife and the crossbow is named after her.
