Race x Origins?

Why not both, for Maker's sake?! Of course a human can be many things, have many origins, but...

A human can't be a dwaven lord.

A human can't be an elven slave

A human can't be a Arishok

A human can't be a castless

A human can't be a da'len

Of course race matters - as origins too.

Why are you making this topic? Why?

No, there is no time for them to change their minds, it's far too late. I am sure they noticed that people like origins so we might get that in DA4 if it does come one day.
But it's not going to be in DA3, no matter how much noise there will be made, it's not going to be added now >.<

A human can be a lord.
A human can be a slave.
A human can be an Arishok.
A human can be poor and homeless.
Aveline was raised by Dalish elves. She was a da'len.

Again.

A human can't be a DWARVEN lord.

A human can't be an ELVEN slave

etc...

Yes, and all those people are the least likely to be involved with the inquisition...

How is a dwarvenlord superior to a human lord?
How is a human slave inferior to an elven slave?

They are not superior/inferior

They are different.

The only difference is, a human slave can reach higher shelfs for his master without a stool :P

Most groundbreaking plot change ever! "You can't reach that sword! So now were all going to die! Damn you short Inquisitor!"

Mods don't change an origins plot.

Obviously there will be things a human can't do that elves or dwarves can (although I think your examples are trivial, OP). But I think Allan has done a good job explaining why the lack of racial choice (are they races or species?) isn't determinative of whether a game is good or not.

If the first game have these options, so DA3 will be inferior (as DA2 was)

You need to append the words "to me" to that assertion.

Oh no! I can't play a game where my Origin becomes generic after around an hour of gameplay, prompting everybody to simply refer to me as "Warden" with the occassional (but still largely useless) reference to my race!

Why not?

Cause it's a holy war between templars and mages? something that has very little impact on non-humans? If anything non-humans will support the war, not try and stop it, cause it will give them a chance for a power grab.

The inquistion supports the chantry, why would the arishok support them? Anyway the pc can't the arishok the job is taken
Why would an elf support them, a slave no less?
Dwarves? they don't even have magic! If anything they'lll support the templars who buy the majority of their lyrium!

Am I the only one that noticed that OP profile doesn't even have any DA game?

I'm starting to think that this topic has no real constructive purpose in anyway shape or form. I highly doubt they are going to change their minds in regards to racial options in DA:I perhaps maybe in future installements.

If they did decide to change their minds on racial options it would be resource inefficient and the opportunity cost would not be worth it in the long run.

Long answer: On a practical note, DA3 is supposed to be released in late 2013 at the earliest. That probably means that DA3 is far enough along in the development process that major features like human only protagonist are already set in stone.

Short answers: No.

Not everyone bothers to register their games.
