I figure enough time has passed, that we can give an assessment on the Collector Faction. Rate the Collectors as if they were around since day 1. In other words, factor out their "new car smell."
What do you like about them (besides their newness)?
What do you hate about them?
What do you think needs buffing, and how would you buff them?
What do you think needs nerfing, and how would you nerf them?

I like how, with some tweaks, they will feel the most balanced, and their sync kills are perfect.
Still too powerful, too much boss spam which is really noticible as they have the bulkiest bosses.
Buffing? Nothing.
Apart from Scions obviously, their bosses need about 1/5th less armour and Swarms need to be weaker.

This one.
And lower the health of seeker swarms. It's just insane for their purpose.

What do you like about them?
Nothing in general, they're pretty hard to handle if you have a bad team.
What do you hate about them?
I hate them all in general, but most the scion and the praetorian.
Also the people who blow the possessed one's and get us kill.
What do you think needs buffing, and how would you buff them?
More like nerfing...

They don't need a nerf, they're hard to handle as they're.

They are insanely powerful compared to the other faction. ( not in a cheap way like the geth )
But we asked for it and they delivered. So I say keep them as is. I mean come on they should be harder Harby is controlling them.

Favorite, enemy type that keeps all types of players on their toes.
I like them because every unit does their job well. (unlike Nemesis, for example, who are ignorable)
I hate them because my teammates like nuking me with possessed abominations.
Don't think they need buffs.
Don't think they need nerfs either. Just fix Paladins not being able to block Scions and Praetorians.

Scions are hard as balls. Praetorians got way wussier since Mass Effect 2.

Thoughts:
Fun - hardest faction but still not as annoying as Geth.
What do I like?:
Even though they are difficult, they are easy to headshot.
What needs buffing?:
Nothing.
What needs nerfing?:
Scion's blast.
Scion's HP.
Praetorian's HP.
(Possibly) Praetorians' movement speed.
Seeker swarms' health. Should be like the Ravagers' swarmers.

I think their fine for the most part. The only issue I have with them is that they seem to have a bit too much health. But seeing as how they have baby shields for the most part I dont mind that too much.

They are cool in a very grim dark way. I like grim dark.
I hate Praetorian laser beams (because no matter how much i try to avoid them, it still hits me, even if im standing behind a wall), Scions (because they are so damn accurate) and Abominations (because they run like retards, but are still able to keep pace with you...). Seeker swarms are also annoying.
Collector troops and captains damage output needs to be lowered. Alot of people say collector rifle is not that good, but on the collectors its better than a harrier. A good way to balance it would be to incorporate Collector Snipers or Collector Assasins from ME2 to compensate for lowering troopers and captains damage output. Seeker swarms needs to come at a lower rate. And the AoE damage that praetorian lasers do needs to be lowered.
Also i have heard that collectors are bugged (which i have seen, 4000 shields on my turian havoc and my shields still gets one shot from a scion? 4000 shields is not just something you blow away.... Besides, praetorian butt laser)
We also need playable collectors. If the leviathans controlled some ( i have not played leviathan, but from what i have heard, they have control over a force of collectors) then we need them in the fight.

They do too much damage. And BioWare devs have confirmed a bug: some units do 2x intended damage. Well, guess we gotta wait.

The things I like:
- Everything can give you a solid melee beating
- Possessed Abominations
- Possessed units overall
- That the scions have weak sides and require tactics, such as luring them to do their clumsy melee
- The looks
- Seeker swarms and webs everywhere makes you know you are fighting them.
- they are a challenge.
- easy headshots since ME2.
the bad:
- Scions are a little bit too hefty
- Possessed Scions grenade field laughs at my Krogans no matter how tanky I build them
- units are way too silent, these Troopers and Captains slicing you come out of nowhere
- no Harby voice
- Praetorian numbers should be reduced to max 1 at any time given, at the expense of a major durability buff (they are true bossess of ME2, should feel like a boss unit)
- Praetorian headcrab leap and staggering melee
- waking up near a Praetorian is twice the death sentence of waking up near a Banshee/Phantom
- sometimes Praetorian won't die to the rocket
- I'm not fond of Scion spawning 3 at the time in the same place in later waves.

Oh, and the biggest flaw:
they move the class balance further in favor of weapon masters like Destroyer or GI. With Praetorian cheap power shield (he raises it the second you cast a power on it) and seeker swarms and seeker plagues.

Scions: Someone must have set their Gold damage to be their base or something because I've seen statistics saying they do 2400 on Bronze and over 10K on Platinum.
Their health is also too high, apparently a scions armour will be the same as a banshee, atlas, prime, despite the fact that there may be up to 3 on the map in addition to the Collectors proper boss unit.
Their possessed forms are a tad overpowered with them getting even more armour and a MIRV grenades that detonate far too quickly considering the area they can cover and the ease in which they set them down. It's made far worse by the fact 3 can be possessed at one time.
The only other problem is the stun locking praetorian melee's but it's only a minor one. It is annoying to be running away from a Praetorian only to be stunned and somehow stumble backwards into it's sync kill though.
Fix the scions though and really they'll be fine.

they are difficult. The scions add a very nice challenge. They are very strong and tough to kill. That with praetorians make collectors very difficult. They seem to be a twist on all other enemy factions... the abominations and possessed forms are a nice change having to worry about where they are when killed or use a non exploding method of killing them. Also, with the seeker swarms being able to stop power use I think they are a very unique enemy and give a nice challenge since all other factions seem to be relatively easy anymore. I think they are a great faction.

i first judged the collectors based on playing with my friends against them on platinum and we beat them fairly easily, lately ive been playing with randoms and now i see why so many people complain about them. Collectors on platinum is such a jailhouse butt exploration.

Love the look of the collectors and fighting the collectors and collector commanders, especially when they get assumed direct control of.
Scions and pretarions, they seem very OP.
Buffs...no.
Nerfs, give a nerf to the scions amount of shots and grenade abilities, maybe make them as tough as an atlas or brute rather than a geth prime. And nerf the pretarions speed, those things move way too quickly to be that damned big.

I think the Scions need some reworking, specifically the splash damage. Either keep the splash and remove the anti-shield recovery, or do the reverse. The praetorian needs to be a bit slower. It can fly a little too fast given it's health on Gold/Plat. I think a reduction in cast time to seeker swarms wouldn't hurt either, for twofold reason, one the swarms themselves are annoying and way too common, and two, it constantly forces the captains to kneel, screwing up shots. Also I think all weapons, regardless of ammo power or modifications should be able to penetrate swarms.

I like them in that i think they provide a faction which is suited to distance engagement, due to the high risk units like possessed abominations.
I also think that as a faction they were designed to hurt vanguards via the seeker swarms.
Because of the above i think they have a very different feel to the other factions.

I think the size of praetorians is a issue. They can melee you very fast and its really hard to out run them on certain maps, also they seem to keep getting stuck here and there.
The health of swarms is quite annoying, they shouldnt take that much effort to kill, after all they are quite common and with some weapons they are quite hard to hit.
I would like to see the spawn rate of that wall like thing raised a little bit, its actually nice how they seem to cut escapes routes with it.
Scions can be an issue, but they always where, i would lower the fire rate of them just a little bit so they dont become primes 2.0
They are, in my opinion, the most fun faction to play agaisnt right now. and not only by the "new" faction thingy, but because they make the game fast paced unlike other factions.
