I love playing them but:
Scions need to be fixed so they don't double shot.
Combos need to be fixed so they do proper damage.
Possessed units need to gain slightly less health.
Seeker swarms need less health.
Other than that, they're nicely balanced IMO.

For those who don't know, the scion's laser is bugged and does double damage (one for the splash, another for the impact), which I'm pretty sure is not intended.

My only beef with the Collectors, is the Possessed Scions having better arms than anyone in the MLB or the NFL combined, able to have pinpoint accuracy and able to throw 'nades across the map.
Now, I could be making stuff up, but I read that once the barriers go down on Praetorians, they lose the ability to float towards you and/or lose the ability to block powers. Is this true, or am I making it up?

Make the cooldown on the Scions grenade spam take longer (Try getting a hack on Hydra vs them on Gold, wave 10) and make the Praetorians beam either not damage when behind cover or lower the damage a bit on it and they will be perfect IMO.
I kind of enjoy them already as it is, but some of the cheap deaths from those two can really annoy me and make be wish I was against the Geth.

I love the Collectors just the way they are. They are the most challanging and fun faction to fight against, and almost every unit has a weakness (you can take out a Scion in no time by shooting the bumps on his back, easy headshots for the troops...etc). My only tiny concern is that the Praetorians are waaaaay too fast.

Playing against them is intense, having a good team or a bad team though could either make them fun or frustrating. The King Crabs and their lasers are real troublesome especially for characters that lack dodge or volus who cannot take cover. Scions are tough, but they aren't much of a problem for me. Also the swarms are a pain, they have so much health for something so passive.

My main issue is that scions can launch a grenade cluster at you, and before they detonate, it will snipe your face with its main cannon.

I like the tactical change-up of dealing with "regular" units and their Possessed counterparts. It adds an extra factor when prioritizing enemies. I also think the internal tactical balance of the faction is very well done.Mafia_Steve wrote...

Oh, and the BOOM when you take out an Abomination.
Scion damage is unexpectedly high, and the animation from the cannon is actually fairly hard to see (compared to the Praetorian's eye-beams, the Banshee's Warp orb, Prime's blue plasma, etc.).What do you hate about them?
Buffs aren't required. What do you think needs buffing, and how would you buff them?
Scion damage needs to be fixed; BSN user corlist discovered that their damage is actually being applied twice. If they did half their current damage, Collectors would actually be my favorite faction. What do you think needs nerfing, and how would you nerf them?

I like how challenging they are, but I think the Scions' cannon does too much damage, it destroys the shields of anything with one shot, and prevent them from recharging. And the Praetorians' laser goes through soft cover, sometimes you are behind a wall and it damages you.

I love them. The bugs with combo damage and the scion's damage applying twice need to be addressed, and I'd prefer if they would at least consider temporarily balancing his shot strength around the glitch rather than making us wait 4 months, but they're one of my favorites to play. It might still be a bit of the newness, but they don't seem as easy to deal with as other enemy types. They'll flank, Praetorians are outright sneaky, and the Scion can both force you into cover and force you out of it. They have powerful melee as well as good ranged weaponry.
It's such a rush fighting them. The others are predictable, and each faction has a fairly apparent and exploitable weakness. The Geth are only annoying because they're cheap, but actually losing to them doesn't happen often. The Collectors are difficult because they're actually difficult. So very fun...

I quite like playing against them now. They're tough but not cheap. Obviously the major complaint people have with them is the scions ludicrously massive damage output but that's a bug and hopefully can be sorted out soon enough. Also, apparently they take one third less damage from biotic explosions as found out by corlist and confirmed by a dev to be a bug.
Once those issues are fixed then the only change I'd like to see is less health for seeker swarms, no way they should be that tough.

What do you like about them (besides their newness)?
I like the visual aspect of them. They look awesome, and the seeker swarms in particular just seems so well animated to me.
What do you hate about them?
They are a bit over powered. I spend more time being revived then fighting them. v.v
What do you think needs buffing, and how would you buff them?
Buff? God no...
What do you think needs nerfing, and how would you nerf them?
Collecters and all the factions need some damage nerfs. The fact they can knock you out with 2 hits on gold and 1 hit a big part of the time has lost it's appeal to me.

What I like :
Possessed Abominations.
The visible effect of Collectors being possessed
Laser beams
What I don't like :
The lack of Harbinger voice
Scions ridiculous damage output (reducing my Kroguard to healthgate, even though Rage was on and speced for damage reduction, fitness health and shield and 20% shield from Gears.Silvetr difficulty too.)
Praetorian shotin through cover

They have mostly fast moving units, scions are the exceptions howeever they snipe you from far end of the map.
In my opinion the need more tactics instead of SWARM THE HERETICS movement.
Swarms: i couldnt help to notice that my shots sometime don't damage them its like they eat up the bullets.
What i like about them:
abominations, i love those facehuggers when they explode like nuke wiping out whole team if detonated in proper position.

Seeker swarms.
Only characters who's powers directly affect weapon dps, like the destroyer or demolisher, are safe.
Players focusing on pure weapon dps, and powers boosting weapons have a huge advantage of players focusing on tech/biotic combos, and weapons separately.
I think this is a little unfair, and would like to see another faction have the ability to overheat player weapons - in this case powers would be unaffected, allowing other classes to have an advantage (maybe geth could do this?).

Swarms (both kinds) could do with about a 65-75% drop in durability, which won't hit gold because of shield gate on the plagues.
Scions need either some sort of indicator as to where the death-cannon-of-instant-death is pointing across the map. Bit like a ravager. Also a bit less armour. In the case of posessed ones, the extra grenade spam actually makes them a bit easier, or it would if the other scion death cannons weren't already aimed at you.
Praetorians need to move about 50% slower. They're tougher than a banshee, have significantly more effective ranged attack (Which ignores cover far more often than the warp) and the leap melee and sync kill are both lightning quick.
Trooper and captain melee is a bit crazy powerful too, but I kinda like that aspect, makes their nutcase swarming tactic make a bit more sense.
Finally the possession mechanic occours far to fast.
Overall I think I could enjoy the collectors more if the enemies were changed as I said.
They're more fun than dragoons-r-us and less fun than the geth and reapers in my opinion

Scions need a massive damage reduction, especially since they're getting double the intended damage. The intended 3000 damage per shot is just stupid, the actual 6000 is just comical. The warp effect is bad enough. Damage needs to fall by 60%. Seeker Swarms have way too much HP and move way too slowly. They're freaking tanks instead of swarms.

The only thing I really don't like are swarms that shutdown your biotics.
Not a fan of that feature at all.
Everything else is solid or challenging, which is not a bad thing really. However they do seem like a bump in difficulty over the other factions, so U/U/? can be tricky if a team can handle gold fine but aren't prepped for Collectors specifically.
So the only reason to balance/weaken would be to make difficulties consistent.
I like them, except for the aforementioned adept raping.

There is an acknowledged bug on combo damage on them (one BE kills regular mooks of other factions, doesnt on collectors).
I like the praetorians, I think the captains and their swarms are a great innovation, I love the booms possessed abombinations make.
What I don't like:
Scions. They're just silly OP. perma cluster grenade spam that go off in 2 seconds anywhere they aim on the map. Geth prime 100% accurate stunning cannon WITH shield prevention for a silly amount of time.
Captain swarms can be possessed and barrier'd. Really?
Abombinations: way too fast. Cannot outrun these guys to get away from their explosion or nuke. If you kill one of these crack addicts they explode, taking all your shields and staggering you. The possessed ones can wipe out a whole team. If you make the mistake of grabbing one it will drop your shields, stagger you and pop you out of cover. How is this on par with reaper husks? If you make the mistake of going down in the vicinity of one they form a rape train. Every one is another med gel with no way of avoiding it.
Im not saying the faction is OP....I am saying they're not balanced with the other Factions. Its a discernable step up in difficulty.

What do you like about them (besides their newness)?
- I think they have a cool look about them, and on the right map they could be potentially scary. I also feel like with some tweaking they could be the new Reapers (balanced and fun to play against).
What do you hate about them?
- I don't enjoy how Scions work at all. They can't move fast so they must do high damage form range, I get it. I just don't think they should be so deadly.
What do you think needs buffing, and how would you buff them?
- Collectors feel like they do the most damage with guns and everything else they do is also fatal.
What do you think needs nerfing, and how would you nerf them?
- Id prefer it if seeker swarms didn't even exist as they aren't fun to deal with, but id lower the health on them so that they were almost a non-threat. Bosses as everyone else has noticed seem to soak up far too much damage considering their speed.

They need to be fixed. A challenge is one thing, but having a Scion one-shot or two-shot you is frustrating, not to mention those cluster grenades. If you don't move the moment you see them, you'll go down, yet, if you do move to another position, you run the risk of being taken down by another Scion's cannons because they'll hit you the moment you move out of cover. There's something wrong there when I'd rather fight a Praetorian over a Scion. Also, have you ever been cornered and taken down by a Praetorian and Collector troops? The moment you medigel, you get stunlocked or staggered to oblivion. It becomes pointless to try and revive yourself.
I like to play the game for fun and it stops being fun when things like what I described above happen.

What do you like about them (besides their newness)?
I like the fact that they are a faction with more barriers. They also have nice variety of troops and I find them interesting to fight against mostly. Plus they really push forward, so you have to be on a move usualy. Preatorian is the FIRST boss character who doesn't shoot unavoidable projectiles, that's GREAT. I wish Bioware would have designed other bosses like this. Also love those exploding husks!
What do you hate about them?
I hate the seeker swarms taking WAAAAY too much damage to down them. I hate the Scion's 1-hit to kill shots (I heard they are going to fix it, so that's good). Preatorians also have melee that staggers and they can do it SO fast that you can't escape the sittulation.
What do you think needs buffing, and how would you buff them?
...Funny can't think of any buffs. Atleast at the momment.
What do you think needs nerfing, and how would you nerf them?
- Seeker Swarms having lower health
- Scions shots getting toned down, so that the last shot isn't 1-hit kill when it hits the fully shielded target
- Preatorians need to melee slower... thou this is a minor gripe
