Ah, I'll bite back my reply about where you read about trainers in the manual and skip too: I guess you want to select a specialization. Most specializations can only be learned in one place. Sometimes even only after a certain decision during quests. Some can be learned from tomes. It's to much for me to type so I'lll just give you this: http://dragonage.wik...Specializations

Ow and if you have unlocked one in a previous playthrough it STAYS unlocked (buy manual, save, reload and you'll still have it.. and your cash) or if you don't like the decision needed etc.
