Then open it in any text editor. Every DLC module config has a line that contains RequiresAuthorization="1" change all of them to RequiresAuthorization="0" and save xml file,
it was working for my DAO - hope this help.
Unfortunately I don't know who post this solution, like I said the search option in forum is missing.

i doubt they'll fix it soon quote]
That's the funny part - I totally agree - they won't fix it soon. They'll let this go on for 2 months.
But eventually EA will be forced to fix something this big. Most people do not have the computer saavy or desire to fuss with doing their own work arounds.

Still showing up on my laptop, though, even if they are unauthorised. Guess I'll be playing on that tonight

Without going back and reading a dozen pages has there been any official word on this yet or when they will fix it?

i tried the two methods that ea support suggests:
1. changing addins.xml requiredauthorization="1" to requiredauthorization="0"
This got my dlc to show up as authorized which was a step in the right direction. However it said i was missing modules for all of the dlc except golems of agrammar and witch hunt. For those two all I could do was create a character before it went back to the main menu saying area could not be found
I reset the file back to normal and attempted the second approach suggested by ea support.
2. It told me to delete the addins.xml offers.xml and manifest.xml files as well as the offers folder and addins folder. After doing this I ran the game and none of the dlc even showed up including awakening.
Since these both failed I attempted to reinstall. That failed.
I tried using the DAUpdater beta fixer but that still did not help.
I have switched the DA updater to automatic and had it start before i ran the game. Still no luck.
I tried re-registering the game. however the promo code that contains all the dlc can't be re-registered.
Running the game not logged in still does not let me access the dlc.
Anyone have any other ideas out there?

I went thought the instructions about deleting addins.xml and all that - so I got some of my DLC back, but most of it (including Awakenings) is still missing. Oh well. Maybe I'll restore the backup xml, and try playing without logging in.
p.s. Nope - restored the backup, changed the RequiresAuthorization to 0, and tried playing without logging in. All the content showed up in the list, but some of it isn't added to my inventory. I tried launching one of the add-on modules and it said "module not found". Sigh.
p.p.s. Tried loading Witch Hunt. It let me create a character, but then failed to load the module. And I got the Accomplished Rogue achievment without playing the game. Double sigh.

Something else I noticed is that on the in-game download page the total for achievement points was listed as "--" and the option to refresh was unavailable even though I was logged in and my autoupdater was started.
I chatted with EA tech help and was told that the problem was on their end but my EA person wouldn't give an ETA for when it might be fixed.
IIRC --
Me: Okay... so are you telling me that I cannot remedy this problem myself but have to wait until you all fix it?
EA: Yes.

I also have all download content listed as unauthorized from the PC Unlimited Edition and have tried all the various fixes.

Yep, sounds just like EA.
I used to play Battlefield bad company a lot, and it would consistently have server problems

I found a solution that uses a few tricks here, first thing's first; you'll want to go to Start and run services.msc. Look for Dragon Age: Origins in the list and double click it. Most tips tell you to manually start it here however if you flick to the recovery tab if you notice the three options saying first failure, second failure and subsequent failures they will less than likely be set to restart the service. For some reason the service continues to stop; change all three to restart the service and have the restart the service option set to one min, alas, I don't think it can be less.
Now you'll want to go back to the general tab /salute and set startup type to automatic.
Once you've done that it would be a good idea to change the addins.xml file as others have suggested before; if you can't find it in your settings folder (I don't have one) go back to the Start menu and search for addins, I actually found it by typing fin - don't ask me how, my computer is crazy. Open addins.xml in notepad and to locate what we wish to change easily hit ctrl+f to find. I typed in Author (it doesn't need the whole word) and hit find; in the quotation marks at the end " " will be "1" this is simple binary telling the program to look for authorisation from the website to allow access to the DLC. All you need to do is change this to "0" so that it won't look for authorisation.
The only problem with this method is that once in game, about every three minutes a dialog box will appear saying that the game can't connect to the server. Due to the change you made in step one your game should automatically attempt to contact the server again. If anyone's come up with a fix for this I would love to hear it but it doesn't really impeed game play I don't recal it popping up during combat at all and if it does it pauses the game anyway.
I hope this helps some of you

For me this is a tad ironic as I just bought the Ultimate edition which came with all the DLC thinking I'd bypass all this DLC mess as opposed to just adding on to my existing Collector's Edition copy (price difference was minimal).

This happened during i did my quest in the deep roads. When i was still playing the game work perfectly, but when i accepted a quest to go to the dead trenches, the game stopped responding and closed. And whenever i tried to play it again, it keeps on happening. So i uninstalled the game and reinstalled it.. And now, the game unauthorized me to use my DLC.. What to do?
