Problem is server side. It's been like that for 48 hours and all you can do is wait for them to fix it. Well, there is a hack with the addins.xml file that is in may other threads that partly works.

Doesn't really work in my books as it breaks your game as far as still being unable to play any dlc content. Can't believe there's still been no word from Bioware about this. It's beyond ridiculous. My faith in the company has seriously been shaken these past few months.

Are you experiencing the same problem as me? For how long?

I finally decided to go back to an old backup from Thursday night (last day I didn't have problems). I've been trying so many hacks I figured maybe I'd really messed something up. With the restore I did the addons.xml fix. I was so happy to start the game and see my game load..... until it completed loading and I was missing Shale from my party and realized that probably meant all the other DLC is missing too.

I've tried all the "fixes". None work. We've been lied to and bull****ted.

I've tried all the "fixes" also. Reinstalled about 3 times (PITA because I have impulse digital download, took forever to re-download). Nothing worked.

Did anybody try to reinstall DAO+DLC but cleaning registry first EA and Bioware has entry in two branches, maybe this will help - at least was working with MA

Yes. I cleaned the registry of all related entries. Still didn't work.

We have been mislead about the need for an Internet connection to continually play this game. While I have no problem with the initial connection to verify, an internet connection for a stand alone is absurd.

The following law firm is handling current class actions against EA. I have emailed them about this. I would suggest others do the same.

If this is the kind of service you can expect from Bioware when their servers experience problems, the Old Republic is gonna be a lot of lulz. Fortunately I have no interest in that game what so ever.

Doesn't work, i followed every thread about the authorization (DAupdaterSvc service, the redist xml, ect) these manual fixes used to work, not anymore. I even reformatted my computer (was due anyway), re downloaded and reinstalled DA:O-Ultimate entirely... Unauthorized problem doesn't go away.

I'm sorry, but it's unacceptable.

Calm down good people. They told us that we need to wait. If u bother yourself enough to read at least couple of pages or do forum search on this topic you'll see it.

I got the unauthorised DLC problem on the PC last night while playing/finishing the Witch Hunt DLC. After completing Witch Hunt I noticed I'd been logged out of the DA servers (this happens a lot when playing DA2 btw). Now, a day later, when I'm logged into the game none of my DLC (bar Awakenings) is showing as authorised. In the Downloaded Content screen, all the DLC (bar Awakenings) is showing up as available to purchase - but also as 'unauthorized' in the Installed Content. The key thing though is if I try to buy any of the available DLCs I get the following on-screen message: "Unable to connect to Dragon Age servers. Dragon Age servers are temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." Which does rather point to the problem being something on the DA servers end rather than my PC.

Here's some screenshots to illustrate my observations (sorry don't know how to embed pictures in posts):

* Logged into game: http://hobeguild.webs.com/loggedin.jpg
* Unable to load a save with premium content: http://hobeguild.webs.com/dlc.jpg
* Dragon Age servers unavailable: http://hobeguild.web...m/daservers.jpg

I'm gonna assume that this is just a case of being patient while Bioware fix the server problems after the weekend rather than ripping my PC apart trying to (futilely) fix it myself. Working in IT I understand that these things happen and they can't always be fixed by flicking a switch but it's still disappointing when it happens to you. Image IPB

Don't tell me to calm down. The BS part is that you have to log in each time and being lied to by tech support (I was 3 times). So shove your "calm down people"

And you think it's acceptable to have to wait 3 days + at this point to be able to play a game we've bought and paid for? It's not.

As I've said before these are the problems you'd expect to see with an MMO, not a single-player rpg game for christ's sake. And more to the point, any MMO developer out there like Blizzard, SE, NCSoft, whoever would not allow this kind of problem to continue for this long.

It. Is. Not. Acceptable.

1. As I said earlier if you able to read and think logically, you would know by the time that you DON'T HAVE TO log in each time. Try to click couple of times with your mouse. Try to do navigate the forums. Or go and try yoga to learn how to calm down.
2. Use your brain. Please.

Have to agree that this kind of thing would not happen for this long on any mmo. the fact that a stand alone that i purchased friday for the additional content found on the ultimate version (hard copy purchased at best buy) and i cant play it because of a server issue is rediculous. I'm a sad panda.

Perhaps you should use your own. Logic dictates that if he's on these forums complaining about the tech support then he's experiencing the same problem a thousand other people are. While it may have perviously been true that there was no need to log in every time you enter the game, the majority of people who didn't see this coming had their settings set to automatically log them in.

The majority of those people have now had all their DLC marked as unauthorized, and if the game detects unauthorized DLC it will not allow you to load your save games and you WILL need to log in again when the servers come back up to authorize your DLC again and continue your game.

With those eventualities we are left with 2 options.

1. Wait for Bioware to get off their asses and fix the problem on their end or;
2. Begin an entire new game.

I have ultimate edition too, and I foolishly tryed to clear DLC data when server issue came up. And now I have to wait too. I just could skip logging in after all my DLCs were authorized once and I took respective quests.

If you'd read the forums little further, you'd know that it's possible to edit addins.xml and manually authorize your DLCs to be able to play logged out, but it works only if you took all dlc quests.

Some folks have been able to get around the problem by disabling the intro movie and then logging themselves out before the game has time to authenticate. This only works if you previously had a good authentication.

Those of us that just bought it? Screwed...

Sorry... But can you please explain to me and evryone else here exactly WHY we should have to do that? Shouldn't we be able to just PLAY the freaking game that we bought with out modifying every line of code to do so?

Just asking....
