i downloaded all my dlc online somewhere then i installed some worked but others did not worked it said sometihng like need to be authorized or something i need help what do i do!!!!

Hi. I don´t know if this is the correct forum but I hope you can help me. My husband was playing with the DAModder, I do not know what he did but now when I start DAO, it says that it can go on in charging the savegames because "witchery for origins" (brujeria para origins in spanish) it doesn´t exist. It is the ultimate edition by stem. What shoult I do?. Thanks

None of the tips in the OP helped me, I didn't have the service listed, couldn't go through the cmd prompt, running it with "run" didn't do anything. I have the Origin installer. What finally worked was going to C:\\Program Files\\Origin Games\\Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition\\_Installer\\
and clicking on the service installer for Steam, DAUServiceSetup.

I love Vista.

I don't even know if anyone's here to help my anymore, but I guess I'll just give it a go...

I just downloaded and installed all the DLC's (I think I did it all correctly, because they do show up in my "Installed" tab, they're also all "Enabled"), but when I actually load my game and try to play one of the DLC's (preferably The Stone Prisoner and Return To Ostagar, I need Shale and the dog for the Nature Of The Beast quest)... Nothing happens. Apparantly I need BioWare points to buy them? And I don't have any. Please tell me I can do something other than actually buying the points (not that they're that expensive, I'd just rather not spend any money)?

I probably sound like a total rookie. Well, I am. I'm also a girl and not very skilled when it comes to computers. Actually, my best friend helped me install Dragon Age: Origins. But he's going to be too busy in the next couple of weeks to help me out with this and I don't know if I can wait that long.
Oh, I'm also trying to install the DLC again right now. If that works, I guess I'll delete or edit this post (if that's even possible, gosh I'm such a noob).

So, re-installing didn't work. Is it normal that they only show up in my "Installed Content" tab and not the "Available Content" one?

Most of the pinned "sticky" threads are just a poor place to add questions to, but you are correct that there just isn't much of anyone around here any more, and as for myself, I never wanted the add-ons and didn't pay a lot of personal attention to them.

So Mass Effect 3 have same problem now with dlc thing you know . like no content download able or no item of kingdom of a... when you play demo and should to have item for free .. but no not see it not able to download item too.

Whatever translation program you used is as bad as Babelfish. If English is supposed to be your birth language, you should be ashamed. Whatever you think you wanted to say, this thread probably was a poor choice of a place to put it.

I got a DAO DLC code as I bought Mass Effect 3 N7 Digital Deluxe Edition. I used the code in BioWare Social Network and it just returned this:
You have acquired the following items:

Unrecognized Item

I have already bought The Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep when DAO was published so was it one those maybe? There wasn't any info about what that DLC was supposed to include. I tried to solve this with live support but there was no help on this issue.

You are in the wrong thread. This is not about dealing with private trouble for clairvoyants to reply to. The last person expected someone here to read his mind to understand what he / she wanted, but you provided no data either.  See the Read First guide and follow it.

Unfortunately I dont have time to read all the replys but if it helps anybody else, I bought the ultimate edition from Origin and after some searching i realized that the updater dervice was not installed, so if anyone has the same issue with Origin, you should start looking ther, hope this helps and if it was already pointed out, sorry.

I had to do some finagling with the pathname, but I managed to install the updater through the command prompt and get all of my DLC working again (bought the Ultimate Edition during the Amazon sale even though I already had the original game + collector's edition DLC).

I know this thread is two years old and the creator probably won't see it, but I'm gonna say thanks for posting this info, anyway. Greatly appreciate it.

oddly enough my content stopped working because I unchecked "Upload Gameplay Feedback" in the games options. After I re-enabled it all my DLC started working again. I hope this helps someone because it stressed me out immensely.

Actually, I have problems with redeeming my code for DRAGON AGE: ULTIMATE EDITION.

I've registered game on the website, but redeem code just wont work. Is there a time limit for the code? If there is a time limit, is my redeem code now useless?

I bought a game few days ago via ebay, it was brand new.

So that was the most overly complicated "help" I've ever seen, none of that stuff worked, my DLC is still messed up, Awakening isn't even showing up as there when I click New Game, none of the things that are supposed to work do.

Wow thank god I have this on console and was able to enjoy it thoroughly on there, trying to get the game to enjoy on PC as well has been a huge pain.

 Thank you! Running both the orgins.exe and the updater as administrator fixed the dlc not showing up in the ingame menu for me!

Just want to give a big thanks to HemisH and all others who helped find these solutions. I just purchased the ultimate edition so I could have all the DLC. I uninstalled origins and then installed the ultimate edition, but that somehow borked the DAUpdaterSvc. I never would have been able to figure out the problem(nor how to uninstall/reinstall that thing) if not for your guide.
