I've tried everything short of reformatting my hard drive. And a big stone guy isn't worth that. Halp!

Finally did it, after... oh god... after 4h30 of messing around.

Added this : 

0.1. List of common issues and which sections/fixes/methods could be used as a workaround to solve them.

i am playing from 2 pc´s and have installed all the extras on the stationary pc, now i would like to play on my laptop but there is no extras ???? how can i get the extras on the laptop too??

I've redeemed the code, but there is no indication in the DLC screen. How do you get the DLC onto download screen?

I can only see options for buying points, redeeming codes and buying the two DLCs. Does that mean the updater service is working?

EDIT: Do I have to call customer support to get my DLC?

Suggestion 3.3.1 worked for me.



Before that, everything would download but it just sat there saying "Downloaded" and taunting me. After following the above suggestion, everything re-downloaded, extracted and installed this time.

Hello, when I first tried to start the DLC through services.msc as others have suggest, I kept getting the error:1053 and I could not find any other solutions to this problem. However, by using the following steps I can now download all the DLC I got from the redeem codes:



-download http://cid-27e6a35d1...leanup_tool.zip



-run the .exe



-select Framework 2.0



-restart system



-download http://www.microsoft...&displaylang=en



-install it



-go back and start Content Updater from services.msc



And you should find all your redeemed content ready to download in game. Hope this helps!

Can anyone confirm? I know someone tried and it didn't work. Anyway worth a try and I'm giving the guy the credits if this work for you!

quit the game with loguot and started up again and logged in,

then i got the extras on download.

i can now play on the laptop too.



but still got the graphical colour flipping out.

It worked for me I deleted the .xml file and started me game and the blood armor started downloading. the rest i already had.

I'm having an interesting problem and I can't seem to find the answer yet. I can't find daupdatersvc.service.exe. The closest thing I have is daupdater, and that doesn't seem to be doing the trick.

Running Win 7 x64, tried most of the tricks in this thread. My Shale and Blood Dragon DLC is working fine, but there seems to be something wrong with Warden's Keep. I have the NPC in my camp and he offers the quest, but every time I accept the cutscene plays where he says he'll meet me at the keep, but after it ends he's still in camp offering the quest. I don't get the quest in my log and nothing is added to my map.



I've tried most of the tricks in this thread...running as administrator, deleting the downloader information and forcing a redownload, various attempts to log out and then back in to refresh, clearing the cache, etc.



I dunno, any ideas?

This is something I hope I won't encounter. The issue I mean. I read on it... Nothing very useful. Some people are saying that they kept uninstalling and reinstalling the Warden's Keep DLC. So I guess 4.3 followed by 4.2 for the Warden DLC?

This is most interesting as that file is right underneath daupdater.exe.

You did check in your installation folder for the game, right?

Exemple for default Steam version : C:\\Program Files\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\dragon age origins\\bin_ship\\

daupdatersvc.service.exe is not hidden so everyone should see it. I can't really be of much help here.

Yeah I can manually start it in both services and the command prompt, and it shows up as running. Is there some other reason it wouldn't be starting its DLC tasks/creating those files?

In another weird note, I tried simply manually downloading and installing my entitled DLC from your list. The ring and the armor set now show as installed on the list (whereas nothing showed up before). The Stone Prisoner shows up, but says it's unauthorized despite being logged into the account with the DLC redeemed. Relogging/restarting/refreshing/voodoo doesn't work. Still no manifest file. Does this narrow my problem?

Nope....not there. Just re-installed the game too, and I haven't fiddled around with the files at all.  I managed to download the ones I own manually from the front page, though Stone Prisoner and the collector's edition items claim to not be authorized.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the DAUpdater Service requires the Microsoft.NET Framework to run, atleast on XP. Installing that allowed me to finally start the blasted thing and get my downloads rolling.

None of these steps are working for me, DAupdater just errors out everytime I try to install it from the command prompt. Tried all the steps, nothing.
