The DLC are protected, especially the paid ones. I guess you logged with the same account at home than at school?

Since we HAVE to be online to use the DLC, maybe it sends some info to your account about such things. People in your shoes on their main and only computer had to contact Bioware/EA to get their account sorted out.

Now here is the problem. I had installed the patch and the newly downloaded DLC states its for version 1.0. Is there a way to revert back to version 1.0 of the game without reinstalling?

i had a problem with the DLC not appearing as 'available for download' let alone 'ready for play' in game. it did come up as registered ok on the DAO social web site so i know my code was entered fine.

in my case i had moved my 'my documents' in windows to be on a network share (for convenience). restoring 'my documents' to say my second hard drive (d:) fixed the issue.

i can only assume that because the DAO Updater runs as LOCALSYSTEM it cannot see my network drive (z:); however it can see d: and so download succeeded

check to make sure you have not moved 'my documents' to someplace LOCALSYSTEM cannot access it like a network share.

Thanks for trying, but it seems to have just been some temporary issue. Today it just worked all of a sudden.

i was wondering if someone could help me.... I first had a problem with my downloads not showing up in the download section... after searching the forum i found a solution and everthing was working (the collecters edition stuff, blood dragon armour and the stone prisoner).
I played the game several times with the DLC.

Today suddenly it says that my Collecters edition stuff and stone prisoner are unauthorized and i can't play the game because it has DLC content in it so i can't load... It is all on the same account ... i didn't switch. installing the patch didn't help.

Does someone know what the problem is and how to fix this??

Oh yeah they planned on a 12 hours maintenance on servers and even tho Bioware says we can play with our DLC without being connected it's just isn't so as stated on the EA help site. So with servers down it couldn't check against your profile I guess.

Has anyone here had this problem? I'm trying to get it fixed and send a ticket into EA technical support.

I have downloaded all the Warden's Keep and it says its enabled but when I am in the game the character i need to talk to in my camp is not that.



My Shale download along with everything else functions fine.



Things I have tried.

Downloaded it.

Enabled it.

Unenabled it. Force loaded but still nothing.

Reenabled it but Levi is still not showing in the camp.



Let me know how to fix this.

This means to use 3.2.4 with a twist. You uninstall the service and
before reinstalling it, you copy you bin_ship folder to your Windows
drive (usually c:). Instead of using the defaul paths for your game
when reinstallating the service, you use c:\\\\bin_ship\\\\ .

Same problem.  All of my DLCs are suddenly unauthorized and Warden Keep and The Stone Prisoner are showing up in the available section so I can apparently buy them.  What's going on here?  Been playing with my DLCs for days and now I can't load my save.  Lame.

Today, no thanks to the pathetic support from EA, I was able to fi my issue and get all the content to finally download and show up in the game. The problem I was having was that the Dragon Age Updater service would not start. I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling it as was first suggested in this post. That didn't fix the problem though. Everytime I tried to start the service I would get the error message:

error 1053 the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion

In order to solve this problem all I had to do was make a minor adjustment in the system registry. Here is what I did in order to increase the time the service would wait before timing out:

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.

2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control

3. Right-click Control, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

4. In the New Value #1 box, type ServicesPipeTimeout, and then press ENTER.

5. Right-click ServicesPipeTimeout, and then click Modify.

6. Click Decimal, type the number of milliseconds that you want to wait until the service times out, and then click OK. Typically, a data value of 35,000 is sufficient to keep the service from timing out. However, you can reduce or increase this value according to your specific startup requirements. For example, to wait 60 seconds before the service times out, type 60000.

7. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.

This seems to have solved my problem and I am hoping it will help at least a few other people out there.

Mine download fine(shale and blood dragon armor) but they fail to install everytime, I've tried all of the solutions listed except the very last one,because I dont' have an "All Users" folder in my users directory(win 7 pro 64bit)

Check 4.4. to be able to see it.

It's a known bug and Bioware is working on it. (Losing all the DLC at that point)

Thanks, I want to inform that I still managed to have it on my other character as I started that one before I got the code. So anyone who wants to play a dwarf noble, I would recommend maybe having the DLC turned off until you finished your Origin story.

Your log, for some reasons, is missing the critical piece of informations, usually before the rollback it states why it couldn't install. Or could you post the whole "install failed" message?

I'd try to do it again but I'm away for work for the next week. That is
the log file that was created in my bin_ship directory and from memory
the only other information was a generic Install Failed message.

Still can't manually or automatically install, no matter what I run as administrator (including the service itself). It is truly bizarre. Even reinstalled .NET framework. Sadface.

Got the ring and the blood armor and Sulchers pass shows up on the map, Soldiers peak however does not show up on the map yet it shows as being installed. The guide does not indicate anything to activate Soldiers peak, I have finished Lothering and proceeded to the Circle tower need help getting Wardens keep to show up on the map

Ok I have tried everything under the sun to get Wardens Keep to work.



Here is the problem:

Levi is not in my camp.

My quest log shows the quest and says to talk to him in the camp.



What I have tried:

Un-enabled it. Force started. Saved a separate file. Re-enabled it and still no Levi.

Copied the DLC, deleted it. Downloaded the one from this thread. Added it in to the DLC after unzipping it. Still no Levi but still in my quest log.



Has anyone here had this problem or knows how to fix it?

after reading 3.2.1 i manually started the damn dragon age updater service and the problem was solved.

I had huge issues with the DLC, couldnt install anything, tried all in this post... I saw that someone said that the new patch kind of mess up your DLC...so I uninstalled the game, installed the game, DIDNT UPDATE TO 1.01 and then.... every works with no problems at all...so If you trie all said in this post and nothing worked, uninstall the game, install again and DONT UPDATE... it worked for me.
