Im now waiting for Tier 3 tech support to contact me back. I guess they only use emails. Which isn't going to help. Im tempted to delete the game save included and try and reinstall it all.

Any suggestions as to how to get my items back, or any information regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Hmmm...I technically didn't ask a question, not even a quick one...

"not being able to see my DLC in any of the tabs."
Today I was looking at why I wasn't able to update my Microsoft.NET framework to 2.0 the (86x) that people had to download for the new patch. I however had to reinstall b/c the patch was a big fail on my part and so far i havn't tested it with the patch.
After looking at my add/remove installations I noticed that my Microsoft.NET framework is actually version 3.5! After uninstalling 3.5 and 3.0, and 2.0 then reinstalling 2.0. I started up my DA: Origins and went to my DLC tab and at first it didn't show up even after a few refreshes but after restarting DA: Origins once again and hitting refresh, it showed up in the Download Progress Tab with the option to download on the bottom of the tab~! I didn't even have to restart my computer.
Let me know if anybody else has encountered this problem and can be solved like this.
For everybody whose going to try this. I'm running Win XP, sp3, and so far without the new DA patch.
Hope this helps!
::Edit::
So far I have Memory Band, Blood Dragon Armor, and Feral Wolf Charm downloaded. It shows up and I can enable it and disable all 3. Shale is in process of being downloaded. Will let you know how everything turns out.

Quick question, I'm not sure if it really belongs here or not, but here goes: All of my DLC stuff works, but when I made a Dwarf Noble Warrior, he loses all of the items at the end of the Origins tale. Now I have no Dragon Armor or the items from the flash game I had unlocked. I think they made a mistake when they completely wipe out your inventory when you become a prisoner...
Any suggestions as to how to get my items back, or any information regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.

And well; they work just great, for some reason my game seems to be able to authenticate my content, even though I can not download it through the game itself.
O well, now I can finally try my DLC stuff, hooray! (And now to start praying it keeps working I guess)

Today, no thanks to the pathetic support from EA, I was able to fi my issue and get all the content to finally download and show up in the game. The problem I was having was that the Dragon Age Updater service would not start. I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling it as was first suggested in this post. That didn't fix the problem though. Everytime I tried to start the service I would get the error message:
error 1053 the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion
In order to solve this problem all I had to do was make a minor adjustment in the system registry. Here is what I did in order to increase the time the service would wait before timing out:
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\\\SYSTEM\\\\CurrentControlSet\\\\Control
3. Right-click Control, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. In the New Value #1 box, type ServicesPipeTimeout, and then press ENTER.
5. Right-click ServicesPipeTimeout, and then click Modify.
6. Click Decimal, type the number of milliseconds that you want to wait until the service times out, and then click OK. Typically, a data value of 35,000 is sufficient to keep the service from timing out. However, you can reduce or increase this value according to your specific startup requirements. For example, to wait 60 seconds before the service times out, type 60000.
7. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.
This seems to have solved my problem and I am hoping it will help at least a few other people out there.
Best of luck to everyone else who is having issues with this game.
Thanks so much for posting this fix nberanger! It really worked

I installed my DLC and all went fine, it's activated and enabled. I load the game and I can see in my journal that it's listed it. I also see the Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep achievements. But I don't see Levi or any map marker to start anything on either. I tried uninstalling it and starting it again and it tells me that I need them installed to continue playing. I find it really odd because my Dragon Armor and other such items worked, just not the quests. What's up with that?
I have version 1.01, but this also happened with v1.00 too.

ok when i start the service manually it says the file cannot be found.
Try 3.2.4. To uinstall the service with the faulty path (did you change your game folder since installation? Like moving your Steam folder somewhere else)
Once you reinstall the service with 3.2.4 from the location where the service file is really located, the service should start. Unless you change the location of your Dragon Age folder.
haven't moved the game or any files.

basically the only thing you can do is reinstall the game and install the DLC, then reload your old save
thats pretty much the only thing that worked for me

I have the same problem with Warden's Keep. Levi just isn't there and everything else works fine.

I've spent the last two days trying everything listed in the OP to no avail. Then while trying to stop and restart the DAUpdater Service yet again, I noticed my .NET Runtime Optimization Service wasn't running. Everytime I tried to start it, it would stop itself after a few seconds. I then uninstalled Microsoft .NET 2.0 from my Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and reinstalled from the redist folder under dragon age origins in the steamapps\\\\\\\\common folder. Restarted the game and my content was downloading nicely. So, check for a corrupt .NET 2.0 install if you're still having issues.
