only took me like 4 days to find it... but finally got the DLC working on vista 64 bit, went through like 10 forums and no one else had the same problem so thanks to Scavar for having the same problem lol and Shpheonix and hemish for solving it.

Just a tip:
After trying to do the 3.2.2 without success, CLOSE that tab. I tried to do 3.2.3 for a few times, then noticed I should have closed the services window before it. Very big thanks for the guide, helped me a lot.

Maybe you missed the UNOFFICIAL in the thread title. I wish we had more options too to format posts in this forum.

I also trimmed the paths. Having 2 backslash (\\) is the minimum we can have here. One gets added each time you access your post.

Well I quickly added some colors so it should be easier to find the section you saw in the table of contents. I didn't think of testing some of the usual bbcodes that are not listed in this forum's FAQ about what you can do to format your posts.

Also added 0.1.12. Content Not Authorized when it worked before.

I don't really have anything to say to that beside the obvious I included in that section. I added what to include in the posts so it might help me, other people or Bioware to spot a pattern.

Unless people have any other suggestions I think the first post is easier to comprehend for the sole person who posted about that in 735 replies.

I've been around various forums a long time and this is probably the most comprehensive troubleshooting post I've ever seen, including those by official sources. A player generated guide like this is something to be proud of, nice work HemisH, you deserve something nice from BioWare for your efforts

This post is the bomb. I found it in < 2 minutes and solved my problem in < 5 minutes. HemisH is my hero of the day. Now back to DAO....



P.S. As for that guy complaining about the formatting, he has the nerve to whine about all this free work someone else did to solve others' problems not being pretty enough? Don't spend another moment thinking about this. Life is too short to waste on people like that.

Sadly stuff didnt work, i got the unauthorised problem both for my collectors edition items and the shael quest line, strangly enough my dragon armor promo is allowed.

Got the same problem as balloo33. Collectors Ed., Memory Band, Warden´s Keep  and Stone Prisoner all unauthorized after a mid-game CTD before patch 1.01.
Loading a save without logging in first lets me access the equipment and the quest for the Keep is added, but there is no dude trying to talk to me about it and the world map icon supposed to show up for the Stone Prisoner is nowhere to be found.
Running on Vista, game bought on Steam and kept on update. So the crash somehow skewed (technical term) the authorization process. Lot of other people have the same problem but I haven't found anyone with the same trigger.

Thoughts?

Did you check the new section I added, 0.1.12.? The most probable cause I could think of (sadly it seems it's not usually that easy) is the service status (3.2.2.) or the cache that keeps a list of installed stuff, etc... (3.3.1.)

Hah! 3.3.1 seems to have worked. The two big ones aren't downloaded yet but the others are fine. Figured out I had to delete the content from C:\\Users\\MyDocuments\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\AddIns. Rather basic stuff but I think it's worth mentioning in 3.3.1.

By the way, in 3.31: Don't you need to start DAUpdaterSvc in cmd again?

I used the redeem code option only to get one addon therefor I cannot anwser the question about all and every single DLC if it gets stuck

Btw.
Before I started the procedures found in your guide the installing part just froze
After the first steps followed by the guide the ! installation failed part kept poping up

P.S.
I also got it to "downloading failed" with the red !

Cleaning the cache works kinda weird ... I press the buttong and nothing happens no info no nothing.
Is it suppose to be that way?
