I'm still having trouble installing my DLC. I have tried several different methods. Including deleting the and redownloading the content. I tried to install manually, but when I open the daoupdater it wont let me select a file to open. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, but can anyone help me. I'm using vista home 64

Anyhow I wanted to say HemisH YOU ARE DOING AN -----> AWESOME JOB
Bioware should be thankful that someone is doing their job for people out there.
Even if *like in my case* the guide didn`t solve the problem but there`s a whooole bunch of people that did succeed with your aid.
THUMB UP

Thanks for the good words.

Where is located your windows account personal files? It sounds like there's some restrictions or that the game can't install the DLC for some reasons.

Thanks a ton!! I was having many problems with downloadable content working one day but not the next. I went to 3.2.2 and just stopped the serviced and started it back up again and that seemed to do the trick.

My operating system is Vista and I have the 1.01 patch. The problems where the same before the patch as they were after.

You reinstalled the whole Dragon Age : Origins game?

If you did, try 3.3.1 to clear all the data. Perform the little twist in that section. Which is :

Some people reported that deleting or renaming (as to not lose the
files just in case) all the .xml from that folder helped them when only
Manifext.xml didn't do the trick.

After that use 4.3 to locate your AddIns folder. Once you located that folder, delete everything INSIDE the AddIns folder.

Edit : I could see why the game could get confused. The best exemple would be a reinstall of the whole game. Your DLC will most likely remain in their folder alongside your savegames. When you reinstall the game, patch it and fire it up. The game notices the DLC in the DLC folder, if then check the integrity of the files, etc... But see it as a wrong version.

Some people with other DLC troubles (unnoticed or not) could have this issue because the game simply revalidated/made sure the DLC was correctly installed and came to the same results as when you reinstall the game.

I'm starting to think that if your DLC was downloaded when you were using version 1.0 of the game and that for whatever reasons the game needs to reinstall the DLC after your game was patched to 1.01, that it gives that error.

People with the 1.0 error message with the 1.01 patch should try what I asked you to try.

I entered my codes and the content shows up in the download content tab in game. I click for them to download and then it starts to go through the process, but fails to install. I have tried many different things to correct it, but either I'm doing it wrong or I have other issues I am unaware of.

Did you try setting your region and keyboard to english settings? (Far fetched I know... still)

The .xml error at the beginning is weird too. Did you try 3.3.1 ?

I don't remember what else you posted and you attempted but look at :
3.1.1,
3.1.3.1.
3,1.3.2.
3.1.4.
and the section 4 to manually delete and install the partially downloaded DLC

THINGS I HAVE TRIED AND HAVE NOT WORKED;

Uninstalled and Reinstalled the game. Twice.

Deleted all the contents of Addlns and Offers in My Documents, and deleted all the DAZIP's in DAUpdater, cleared my download Cache and restarted the Updater Service for a complete fresh download of the Install - still nothing appears in 'Installed Content'

Please, HemisH or anyone else, I'm in desperate need of help, I'm sorry to be a bother :\\

I have sent in an email to EA, but comon, its EA, theres 0.01% chance their going to resolve this, I've also posted on the official forums for user help, no one responds, so I came back here since its the most helpfull out of the bunch, and lots of Kudos to you HemisH for helping everyone!

OK I've been trying various things for a week now... 90% of my stuff is installed, except for Blood Dragon Armor which always fails, be it at 0%, 50%, 100% or even Download Complete and Warden's Keep which nothing I've tried here will get it to show up in Available Content.

I've restarted (been trying every day), cleared Cache, started update service manually, renamed the Manifest.XML... but nothing I try even gets it to flash up momentarily, the only thing I've ever seen in Available Content is Stone Prisoner when my account login is playing up, but once the login goes through properly that disappears as well (into Installed tab thankfully)

I've been looking through this thread for an hour and my eyes are getting bleary... haven't been able to solve this problem.

I have all the available DLC installed. Everything works except for Warden's Keep (which is the only DLC I got AFTER starting my game). I have the quest giver in the camp, but no quest in my log book. There WAS a quest before I downloaded it, but now the quest is gone. When I try to start the quest, it acts as though it's going to mark my map and send me on my way, but that doesn't happen. Instead, the quest giver acts as though he is still waiting for me to start the quest. Shale works. Dragon Armor works. Everything works... except Warden's Keep. Help.

Things just got weirder... In my "completed quests" page, there is a blank quest where the 2nd quest related to Shale should be.

I really hope they fix all of this stuff. I'd hate to have to start over. :(

Try closing and reopening the login screen a few times, that usually brings it up with your net connection detected, once it does it SHOULD log in fine....

Also, double, identical posts are bad mmmkay? so don't be bad... mmmkay?

So I had to disable and re-enable my DLC in order to get the Blood Dragon plate (a well reported issue with the Dwarven noble origin). Since doing that I've lost Shale from my party, it says I've completed the quest to get him but he's gone from my party. I've tried deleting and re-downloading the Stone Prisoner DLC but even doing that the game remembers I've completed the quest and still Shale is gone. Is there a way to reset the quest so I can get him again? or a procedure to get him back somehow?

Ok, not to sure how to do 3.1.1 on vista home 64,
I did 3.1.3.1, 3.1.3.2, 3.1.3, and still fails to install. I allowed it to attempt the install for about 1.5hrs before I closed the game.
When I try 4.2 I can find the add ins folder and delet them, but when I search for  C:\\\\Users\\\\All Users\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\DAUpdater\\\\ it cant find it.
