but the other files he says: unauthorized.

In your case, to make sure it's the default location, it needs to be on the same drive your windows is installed (in most case c:) in the Users folder under your windows account username.

If you have that, you're all good on this front.

Secondly, for C:\\Users\\All Users\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\DAUpdater\\

You may need to do 4.4 to show it.

Are Available Content and Installed Content completely empty?

Hello all.

I am running DAO in Windows xp sp2 since yesterday without any apparent problems, but today I noticed that if "logged in" in game, some of my DLC was unavailable - namely Memory band, Stone Prisoner and Warden's keep. Lion's paw and Blood Dragon armour are ok. This also prevented me from loading my saved game, getting the message that the saved game was only for someone authorized to use said DLC !!??. Yet, all of this content shows up as registered in my bioware profile.

Curiously, all the content is apparently available (at least the memory band is in use. I have not yet reached the stone prisoner and wardens keep sub-quests...) if I simply log out in-game. I therefore presume that the problem is not on my end but in bioware server/service. I do not intend and in fact should not have to dabble in specific files and folders of my game installation to solve this ! I will keep playing logged out, and for sure will not be getting any more DLC in the near future. A patch should be forthcoming to solve this.

Would I have to have the game downloaded on the C drive, since windows vesta is on the C drive? If so is there anyway around it? Everytime I push the play button it tells me that I have a misconfiguration and reinstall. I already reinstalled and it still is the same.

Tried everything, DAUpdaterSvc refuses to start, comes up with the 1053 error. Restarted it, tried starting it manually, tried admin log in's, tried reinstalling, tried manually uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing works. The damn thing refuses to start.

Using Windows XP SP3. Everything is updated correctly as far as framework and such goes. It should be working. I'm very disappointed at this. A terrible start really for the first game released jointly by EA and Bioware. Though it's pretty typical the only real EA Contribution to the game is the thing causing the issues.

Regarding the Warden's Keep not showing up on world map. I've tried downloading the settings file from other forums. I've also tried disabling/enabling and that does not work either. I also tried deleting the warden's keep folder but i just asks me to buy it again. I might have to rely on torrents, clearly I'm too used to having developers actually release patches effectively and quickly.

I cannot download the DLC, nor can I see any available DLC (I should be able to see "Warden's Keep).



I have tried pretty much everything in this thread... I've tried reinstalling DAO; I've tried running everything as an administrator; I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Updater Service; I've tried moving the Documents folder around (x64 W7 here). I've tried over wireless and ethernet cable. Nothing seems to be working!



Does anyone have any advice? I'd just like to play the game with the DLC; it's a shame it's having such problems...

Both CD-key worked just fine, when I entered them. (Now I, obviously, get an error when I try to re-enter them...)

I entered the DLC CDKEY about an hour ago and yet don't see the DLC on my game. As you can see, on the first screenshots, it is on my BioWare account and I am logged on that account in-game.

I tried making a character to see if it was downloaded, but not showing. There wasn't anything in my bags, neither in my DLC tab on the Journal.

Not too sure what to do, at this point..

I did pretty much tried anything in this thread, that was near a solution for my problem and yet.. not fixed. (Except Uninstalling)

(Note: I bought the game on steam and posted on these forums too and didn't get any help, whatsoever)

I have been trying to get this game to work for 4 days. Either I get the BSOD at startup or if I do get in I cant get the DLC from the Deluxe edition on Steam. HemisH, I have went over your list from head to toe and nothing has helped. Although it has not worked for me I do appreciate the time you have spent here helping people. Just letting you know you are appreciated. I bought the 360 version to get me through this and will be back when they get it all worked out. BIOWARE- Please fix it. :-(

Most effective solution on the internet so far is download the DLC through torrents. I'm gonna try that method out. Pirates > Bioware

Had the same problem that the service didnt start.

I have to start it manually everytime before starting the game but for workaround its ok.



The support from Bioware/EA is a pain, I didnt even recieve any answer yet on the ticket I opened 5 days ago.

Unbelievable that the community has to do EA support work.

Just to add a positive note...
....0.1.6. Some of the DLC are stuck at 100% in my Download Content tab in the game and not installing in the Installed Content tab.
Select the DLC, in the right pane is a description of the DLC and a little
picture. Underneath the description is a DOWNLOAD button. Try it to force the download.

Try 3.2.2 just to check if the service crapped on you.

In DA:O Launcher, click configure and then Repair and click the button
"Clear Download Cache" Warning : In the case of Stone Prisoner(500megs)
and Warden's Keep(300megs) it will take a while to redownload

3.1.3.1 and 3.1.3.2 just to make sure.

Kick start the service so it can redetect your DLC and such, use 3.3.1 for that

Manually install the DLC that is giving problem, use 4.2 in with 4.1 as reference.

Very last resort, reinstall the service with 3.2.4[/list]This was my problem.  Had no issue with the first few downloads (CE items, Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep, Lion's Paw, Lucky Stone, Memory Band, and Embri's Pockets) but then finished up DA:Journeys and the last two items (Helm of Deep, War Mage Amulet) got stuck on the Downloading tab at 100%, never went to the Installed tab.  I did the three bolded steps above (with the exception of the first, there WAS no "Download" button to try and force it) and viola!  Got 'em.

If you are using Windows7 try to launch DA:O with administrator rights. You can set it for example if you right click DA:O desktop icon and then properties. Under some button (addiotional?) is launch with administrator right or something similar. At work now so cannot check.

Okay, so I have the PC version and when I checked the "Registered Game Promotions" I think it's listing my DLC in the XBOX version. Should it not matter which version the DLC appears? Or am I sorta screwed?

Well it has been confirmed. For all those people blaming bioware, don't. The updater service and the social site are EA's responsability, not Biowares. The content works fine when you actually get it. The method of delivery, which was developed by EA, causes issues.



As such the likelyhood of recieving an offical fix for the issue is dependant on how badly it effects EA's sales of this game.

make sure that u have set the location and language settings as english (us) from control panel.

The adwise with starting the game unlogged, then log in help me clear the problems. I had 2 do it several times, to get all the contents. I´m happy now
