That goes for me too, but then I looked around on my PC concerning not being able to download the dragon armor and Shale I looked into the 'logs' directory and the log reported this;

It's probably the first line that is the clue to the problem, for the files in this folder is;
AddIns.xml
DAOriginsConfig
DragonAge
KeyBindings
Profile.dap
tos.txt
As you see the file 'offers.xml' does not exist. So getting this file would perhaps solve the problem with the Shale and dragon armor not showing up on the 'aviable download' page in-game.
But I don't know how to fix that! Anybody?

Is this a silly question? My DLCs are working perfectly fine but for some unknown reason when I check the downloadable contents I see and exclamation point on some of my redeemed add ins. The funny thing is, it is already installed and working perfectly fine. I'm afraid that halfway through my travels all of my add ins would just poof and disappear if it says that it is ready for download but is already installed and enabled. What gives?

Hello, it seems that this is what i have to do. Though i am sorry to say that i do not understand you're guide.
I have done the Cmd part. though i can't get it to work. This is how far i got. : (((C:\\\\Windows\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\ \\v2.0.50727> installutil D:\\ \\Steam\\ \\steamapps\\ \\common\\ \\dragonageorigins\\ \\bin_ship\\ \\daupdaterSvc.Service.exe))) ok so my Windows is in norwegian but i'll try to translate the error: there was a problem under the start of the installation: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: can't install the file or the collection.
I've checked the path over and over again, restart, wrighting the command in other ways.. and so on, and i do not know what to do now.  Please help me thanks:lol:

Bah resorted to downloading the DLC from the list on page 1. Hopefully this will at least allow me access to my rightful content, that being Blood Dragon Armor and Stone Prisoner.



A note to Bioware if you do read this. In the future, please handle everything personally thats being done with your game, and don't let EA get it's grubby little fingers on anything. They break anything they touch, like a bodybuilder with the mind of a 5 year old.

I've done an install for a piece of DLC (Wicked Oath) and it's still trying to download in the game. I didn't see a way to correct this?

I cannot for the life of me get the service to run. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I have uninstalled and deleted every part of the game and reinstalled using EA game manager (was using steam). Nothing works. I cannot get access to the DLC (I am using an administrator account)

So I've tried going through this guide and trying some of the fixes suggested, but nothing has worked.



My problem is that the Warden's Keep DLC is installed, but I cannot access it in-game. I go through the dialog with the quest-giver, I accept and say "Let's go to Warden's Keep", but when I leave camp and the map pops up, there is no location for the DLC, just the usual Redcliff, Denerim, etc. for the regular content. My other DLC's like Stone Prisoner and Blood Dragon Armour are working fine, it's just Warden's Keep.



Any Suggestions?

I have downloaded the digital deluxe edition from steam. I also have redeemed the codes. It says that the DLC's are downloading, at the end of the download it says that it extracts but after waiting a while it says "install failed". also, the current game version is in red letters (1.0). Could you please tell me how to proceed because i really would like to have the items and complete the new quests? i'm using windows xp sp3.

And sorry for the bad English, it is not my native language.

Same here, feels like I've tried everything related to disabling the service, uninstalling it, re-installing it, disabling antivirus, installing manually etc. Simply nothing shows up. Finally I did a manual install and after a few days it game me "unauthorized"... OK. I log in with the exact same e-mail and password on this site as I do in game. Can't get any more authorized than that :|

XP SP3 btw.

my downloads stagnate at 0%, stating that the download is in progress, but nothing happens then... on this status both (armour and golem-DLC) DLC's remain for hours....



further, i do not have a "download"-button below the DLC-description in the DLC-menue tab, so i unfortunately can't force anything while typing on this...



what i've tried:



1. version out of box 1.0

2. version 1.01 - patch applied

3. forced the dragon age updater manually/automatically

4. several log-in/log-outs

5. repair console - Firewall exceptions added

6. repair console - DLC cache removed/cleaned



i'm running as admin, i've tried the workaround from the first side regarding the issues which are suitable for me, with no result



question: could it be a problem to change the installa-path from C to another partition like i usually do with every game i've installed through the years, to keep my Windows-partition clean? is this probably a no-go for the game itself, not able to locate the folders for the DLC-content, could be?

It's nice to know that patch 1.01 fixed issues but not the ones actually causing problems.

Ok, I have the collector's edition, everything says its downloaded, but it won't go any further. Downloaded 100% blood armor, nothing in the Installed tab, and seemingly no install button. After reading these posts, way too many people are having DLC problems. This really needs to get fixed, and I mean really fixed, not giving people who don't have a lot of PC experience a 18 step solution that might not even work. FIX THIS!!!!

God damn this is pissing me off! I've tried so much and nothing works! A new game is not suppose to have all these faults, by god i'm angry XD i just can't get that damn instalutil.exe to work.. I think i'm just gonna uninstall the game and leave it be, this frustration can't be good for my health. DX

I've got an interesting issue... I have CE, and the Stone Prisoner DLC was included. I installed it, and went to the village where Shale can be freed. I went through the whole quest, apart from saying the first password to the - yet statue - Shale, which the trader told me from whom I got the control rod. I didn't bother with it, because that password would obviously be incorrect. So, I completed the quest and freed Shale, but every time I try to talk to him in camp, the surroundings turn to blue, and I get a dialogue with the ominous first password, and a second option: leave the golem alone. Whichever I press, I can't talk to shale, and sometimes the whole world stays blue, with nothing to be seen. Plus, once Shale's talents simply "disappeared" at the beginning of a fight - I couldn't use any of them, they had no description.

Any idea on this?

I know this isn't really a technical question but this thread is prob the most relevant one I'v found. I have the CE for the 360 & was wondering if I wants to get the PC version aswell (mostly for the large graphical upgrade), would I need to buy the CE for the PC or could I some how install the DLC on the PC because my account has it logged as useable on the 360?

So basically... the server finds that I'm eligible to download both the dragon armor and Shale! After that it says that it enables Shale (I installed him manually). Atleast it's progress. So the server does indeed recognize that I may download the DLC, but nothing shows up at all. One step forward, two steps back.

Edit: Minor success... I manually installed the armor and it does show up in my inventory, and the dwarf at camp sells the rest of the armor as well. Still no sign of Shale or her town.

So i have the same issue as Kythlyn, I have both Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep installed but I can't get the map markers to show up for the first quests. I was hoping someone could let me know if there is some way to fix it or if I just have to wait till biowear patches the game. I don't understand why they seem to work for some people and not for others.

Monsteras: have you tried to download the MicrosoftFrame.NET 2.xyzqi (dunno its corretc version, but there is a 3.5 or something like that version that has it in) cuz that usually helps to at least dl the blood dragon armor. it helped for me...

My new problem is with the stone prisoner:
Problems:
1. the dlc is at the available download section.....that can be fixed though (control panel/administrative tools/services and manually start the DAOupdater), than it will realise it is an existing and dl-able content and it will move it at last there, where you can start the dl.
2. forceing dl does not work, than log in out and again manually start DAOupdater helps, to force dling it.
3. it dls down to 100%, than waits for quite a time, than starts to unpack it...and it just unpacks and unpacks forever...took 80 mins....than nothing...so i restarted again, happened the same in second attempt as well...am trying for the third time, well this is where i am now...and the funny thing is...before times it dled it quite fast, now it is 20 mins already and it still is on 20%....strange coincidence...

anyone found this bug? or if it dls, can anybody tell me where it puts the dazip? so i can unzip it manually (you can find the manual unzipper in the Program files (86)/dragon age directory somewhere)

well problem successfully solved...
dunno how, i did only 2 things:
it was either that i restarted the game after it dled it and kept unpacking (which might have been a bug)
or it was that i cleared the dl cache...

good luck folks i can only give you these advices.

Log off and then continue playing. Your "unauthorized" content should be fine.

I am still unable to properly connect after trying everything.  The updater seems to be running fine, everything (Steam, DA exe, and updater) has admin privileges, but I cannot see any content in either of the three tabs.  I opened up my log file and see the following:

DA Download Manager (DADM)    Attempting to connect to DADM Control Server!
DA Download Manager (DADM)    Connected to DADM Control Server!
DA Download Manager (DADM)    Successfully configured DADM!
DA Download Manager (DADM)    Disconnected from DADM Control Server!

Repeated over and over... the log file was just shy of 1GB.  I have DAO via Steam, have redeemed my code successfully (the extras show up on my online account on Bioware), am running Windows 7 Enterprise.  I have reinstalled the game and the service.  My Documents is in the default location (C:\\Users\\<username>\\), but DAO (and steam) are installed on a different drive (D:).  I have tried relocating My Documents to D: as suggested but no dice.  Lastly, I have no Manifest.xml file or Offers.xml.  Love the game, but this is making me crazy.

Well, I've tried everything in the initial post, and still no dice. I cannot see new DLC, and I cannot download The Stone Prisoner or Blood Armor (which I qualify for), although I could download and install four others, including The Collector's Edition, without a problem. I'm looking through my log, and it states: "Install Error for ...DAO\\DAO_PRC_CP_2_1.0.dazip, Error: Invalid zip archive detected."



Any ideas for what would cause an "Invalid zip archive"?
