I think at this point, BioWare should just give everyone ALL the DLC for free for the headaches they've caused. Remove the DRM and fix this huge mess that is called 'downloadable content'. Thenhave all the items magically appear in everyones profile. They need some good PR at this point
That would be extremely BAD PR. I paid for the content a week ago, and you want it given out free now, I'd be looking for a refund for both the DLC I purchased and the extra I paid for the CE
In any case giving it away for free won't fix it, only a patch cold do that, to both the game code and the method of authentication by EA... I hope that's in the works, I got my DLC working but I know how frustrating it is when it doesn't work...

Basically all of my DLC is installed and enabled. I started to play the Warden's Keep zone, stopped and went and finished the dwarf area. When I finally went back to complete the Warden's Keep It was not on the world map anymore... I still have the quests for ther zone in my journal and it is enabled in the list of DLC ingame. Sorry if this is not the right thread for this, if there is another please link it for me.
Thanks for the help.

NOTE: This will not affect those who already see the offer and the download fails for some reason. We are still investigating how best to address those issues.

Ok, so I read through the instructions by the OP and didn't really see one that listed my problem.

What worked for me:
Save your game and quite to menu
Click Downloadable content and go to the installed tab
Untick the DLC that isn't working
Load the game, Select "Force Load" to force the game to load without DLC
Save again (in a new save file)
Quite and re-enable the DLC
Load the most recent save and pray ...
Good luck

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately that didn't work either. I have a feeling I'm going to need to reinstall the DLC...

I don't know, giving away things for free is never really bad PR to me. I hate when amazon and gamestop and walmart all offer different preorder bonuses - you can't get them all because you're not going to buy the game 3x. So gimma da codes!!!

Process steps: Install game, patch to 1.01a, set "execute as admin" for dragonage.exe (or whatever it's called), try to install DLC
Problem Description: DLC shows up, can be downloaded, but install process hangs
Expected behaviour: Install the DLC.
Workaround: Re-install the game, and download/install the DLC before patching.
System: Win 7 RC
Notes: Have not tried to patch after installing the DLC - wanted to play the game after fiddling with this ... for 3 hours.

Got the blood dragon armor ( now sitting on my char) and was able to complete the stone prisoner quest for shale who is now part of my team. Also completed the soldiers peak (Warden) quest and get some nice loot/items as part of that quest. However upon reloading yesterday I find that all the items i received as part of the Soldiers peak quest are now gone, as well as the map marker itself from the map. Like I said, I bloody well hope EA or bioware have some sort of patch to solve this clossal cluster fvck or will I see Shale stripped from my party list as well as the dragon armor to go missing also. An official word from EA/Bioware would be nice even if it was to say "we are aware of this issue and are trying to rectify it"

If anyone is still having the
specific issue of nothing showing up at all in their Downloadable
Content, please send me a private message. We have a potential solution
to reinstall the service and also provide us with some logging info in
case there are still problems.
NOTE: This will not affect those who
already see the offer and the download fails for some reason. We are
still investigating how best to address those issues.
I will be sending you a message ASAP.

I was able to start the quest and get the rod but the town was never marked on my map. I cleared out the cache and then I downloaded the content package directly from the link provided and then installed it manually as directed. I then launched the game and the destination now appears on my map.
THANK YOU!

I have a different problem. I paid $120 Australian ($110 US) for the standard version but i dont have an internet connection on my gaming pc.
so how do i install the dlc that came with the game (dragon blood, stone prisoner)?
There was nothing on the box that said to play the dlc you needed an internet connection to validate. I thought all i had to do was put the code into the social site website and then transfer the content to my gaming pc.
Is there anything i can do ? I can maybe hook up my laptop to my game pc and create a temporary LAN. But do you need to be permanently connected to the net to play with the dlc ?
seriously thinking of contacting Australian consumer affairs. they should have put a warning on the box u need your DA computer to have internet instead of "free downloadable content inside" which leads people to think they can download the content and install it like any regular program.

Anyway, I had some issues getting the command prompt to do what I wanted (very likely due to typing or copying errors on my end somewhere), but eventually I was able to bludgeon my way through the process and get the updater functioning properly. Hopefully there will be an easier fix soon (like a patch). Until such a time though, this thread has been immensely helpful. Thanks.

...I'd put that kinda complaint along the lines of toasters that say "Do not dump in water". Seriously, Downloadable Content is likely a registered offical term for Content avaliable on the internet. Not to mention you don't HAVE to log in or download anything to play the game. You still own the game. The DLC is just a free gift and not part of the package paid for.

OT: Personally I'm getting pretty hacked off with this DLC situation. Shale is broken and Warden's Keep inaccessible - this is content that I specifically PAID FOR and it's non-functional. Skimming the 923 posts in this thread doesn't reveal a solution, basically because there isn't one, and EA/Bioware are too busy fixing super-important issues like "minor issue with Game Explorer" rather than problems with stuff people actually handed over cold hard cash for. Totally unacceptable.
(Don't get me wrong - a game this complex will always have bugs - but they should be FIXED rapidly as soon as they are found, ESPECIALLY those that involve ripping off people who've stumped up their hard-earned for DLC. Ignoring the issues and hoping they go away is simply not an acceptable response).
