OK, been keeping a close eye on my Blood Dragon Armor downloads and I think the problem is that the bloody thing doesn't know when to stop! It usually gets to 100% 'Download Complete' and then keeps downloading past 100%, usually gets to about 125% before changing to 'Download Failed'

AND FOR THE LOVE OF F&%^ING GOD DOES ANYONE HAVE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR GETTING WARDEN'S KEEP TO BLOODY SHOW UP IN 'AVAILABLE CONTENT' TAB!

Looking at the codes for the downloads screen i think that for some reason it's trying to download a WK patch, but how the F can it do that when I don't even own the original??!

Please try clear your offers and in progress downloads by using the following steps.

1) Shut down Dragon Age: Origins
2) In Windows, press the 'Start' button and select 'Run'
3) In the command line type 'net stop DAUpdaterSvc'
4) Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\\\\\BioWare\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\Settings' and delete 'Manifest.xml' and 'Offers.xml'
5) Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\\\\\bioware\\\\\\\\Dragon Age' and delete the 'Offers' folder
6) Navigate to 'C:\\\\\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\\\\\All Users\\\\\\\\Application Data\\\\\\\\BioWare\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\' and delete the 'DAUpdater' folder
7) In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'
8) Restart Dragon Age: origins and log in

Well still slighty early days... but this seems to have had no effect on either of my problems. Blood Dragon Armor still won't Download and Warden's Keep still won't show up... now peraps a slightly stupuid question but do you need to purchase any BioWare points before WK shows up in Availible Content? If this is so how many do I need? That's the main reason I've been holding off buying points because I have no idea how many I need to purchase WK.

EDIT: OK Definately no efect on BDA, even with my Firewall disabled I'm back to "Stuck at 0% for about a minute, zoom through to 29% then just sit there forever."

Well I have the "DLC not showing up on the ingame lists" problem. The reason is the daupdater, and I followed all the instructions for installing daupdatersvc.service.exe with installutil.exe. It will install, but still get the timeout when I try to start it. Nothing in the faq is working for me. I'm on XP, btw, not Vista or 7. Does anyone have any other ideas how I can fix this?

I just tried to start a new game, and got the following message:

"Until you log in with an account that has previously purchased, the following content, it will not appear in your game. Please cancel, then log in, then try again. If you click on "Continue," the following content will not appear in your game:

Collector's Edition

Memory Band

Warden's Keep

The Stone Prisoner"

I am logged into the same account I'm always logged into for my other characters and they work just fine. I've tried logging out and back in multiple times with the same message. Also, I noticed that one of my characters has not been updated on my online profile.

This is a strange issue I can't seem to fix and any help is greatly appreciated.

lol....why was the DLC made so complicated? Is it the DRM? This is a ridiculous situation.

This work for me as one of the content (The belt from the flash game) was stuck at 0%. Clearing the cache helped that. Shale was stuck at 0% but doing what you said by stopping the DAUpdater worked! Also deleting the manifest.xml. Thanks a ton!

Check on this site to make sure under "My Games" Your dragon age copy is registered. Also check out the repair utility in DA launcher and see if anything there might help you. Goodluck. B)

Anyone come up with a fix for 'the stone prisoner' town of sulcher not showing up on the map? Anyone else have this problem?

I've deleted the DLC and re-installed it, but still Sulcher doesn't show up on my map and the quest doesn't appear in my log. Though i do continue to get a rediculous amount of crystal upgrades :(

XP sp3, v1.0, worked up to 4.2 & 4.3 which fixed the install issues for other DLC. All DLC shows up as installed in game.

Timeouts that occur when trying to start the service are related to .net.  Some users have found that re-installing .net solves the problem.

Could you please confirm if your cd key is installed properly.

To confirm if it's installed
- Run the daoriginsconfig.exe application
- On the bar on the left of the screen click 'Game'
- There will be box near the lower part of the window called Product Keys
- Confirm that you have a cd key is listed in this box
- If there is no cd key listed, navigate to the data directory on your installation cd and run 'Dragon Age_code.exe'
- If you do not have a cd key installed this exe will allow you to re-enter it

I have installed this game through Steam and there is in fact a CD key listed in the config screen. I have previously played the game on other characters just fine and used the DLC.

Please try clearing your profile file
1) Log out of the game
2) Close Dragon Age: Origins
3) Navigate to \\My Documents\\bioware\\Dragon Age\\Settings
4) Back up, and then delete your profile.dap file
5) Boot the game and log back in

I did that, and the DLC is still marked as Unauthorized after I log in, and I still get the same message when trying to create a new game.

Man this is lame...I've tried everything on here short of manually installing the DLC(pointing the updater at downloaded zip files). It hangs at "Installing"(all DLC already downloaded). I opened a ticket with EA explaining where its hanging and I get advice to make sure my firewall isn't blocking ports... Super Frustrating. I would like to thank the OP for putting this together, it was more helpful than EAs been so far. If I get any kind of worthwile ideas from EA I'll be sure to post them.

I have this same problem.  My downloads are stuck at zero, i have stopped and started the service, I have cleared the download cache.  But I don't have the manifest.xml or the offers.xml files.  I have the Offers folder, but nothing is in it.

Suggestions?

K, so let me see if anyone can help me. Seems like you guys are geniuses when it comes down to this issue. Like it seems almost everyone else I cannot get the DLC to actually download. I have been reading these forums for the past couple days trying to figure it out, but to no avail yet, though this last time something did change.

First off the basics - running Win XP Pro with all updates installed.
Bought the digital copy at GameStop updated to v1.01b

Now the first issue that was plauging me and still does everytime I try something new is that the DLC do not show up anywhere. A few times reloading and clicking on "Online Profile" in game gets them showing in the Download tab. But then they never actually download. Stay at 0%

Then I followed these steps today and seem to made a little progress.

Open cmd
net stop DAUpdaterSvc - completed succesfully
installutil.exe /u "path to" DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe - completed succesfully
removed all files from My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Settings - completed succesfully
installutil.exe "path to" DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe - completed succesfully
run the game - Get error game is misconfigured please reinstall
replace files in the Settings folder that weren't recreated
run the game - loads but doesn't show the DLCs

So again I relaunch a couple and click on "Online Profile" and they show again
This time though they do not auto start the download
Click to start a download still stuck at 0% but now a have a flashing red ! on the tab where it says Download Progress.

I never saw any reports of that showing in here but hoping for some help. The reason I got the digital copy was so that I could get all the DLC right off the bat, and cause I was too lazy to go around to stores and try to find a copy.
Here is a copy of the log file as well as I think it might help. It's giving an error saying it can't find offers.xml in the settings folder. Which is true because it is not there, never was, and in case you are thinking yes the account I am trying to run it on is an Admin account.

i can't get the DAUpdater to start, tried pretty much all the solutions here.. not quite sure whats up, my games are registered, account is too, etc.. new framework version now too 3.5.. idk.. i guess i'll play the game without my unlocks (one character and an armor set).. just see blank tabs in my downloadable content and my daupdater cant seem to start via services.msc or cmd.exe etc..

spent 4 hours trying to fix this, only about 5 minutes in game.. i'll let ppl know if i fix my problem, but this guide did not resolve mine, which is odd as this FAQ is very well made and rather comprehensive, just unfortunate i must have a bigger "underlying issue"  :pinched:

I have your issue Marxian, Jason suggests reinstalling .Net. That would likely include Sp1, 2, 3 & 3.5. To do this, go into control panel, open add & remove programs, click "Show updates", scroll to .Net and start uninstalling Service Packs. Make sure you have each service pack downloaded before hand, so you can reinstall them. Do so in order also, otherwise it could cause issues.

He also suggested using this file to test that DAUpdater is working correctly.

http://supportfiles....eDiagnostic.exe

The purpose of this program is to:

- check to see if there is a CD Key in the registry and in the proper format

- find out the status of the Service (not found, running, stopped, etc.)

- install the service files if any are missing

- install the service files if any are out of date

- register the service if it is missing

Well I'm full out screwed. My stupid little sister used up the broadband cap, and I uninstalled my .Net Framework's without checking, thinking that the 18th it would still be up. So now I have no way of reinstalling the .Nets.

Word to the wise, if you have a younger sibling, murder them in their sleep.

Thanks a lot for the help HemisH
I had thought that "net start" would happen automatically when I started the game again.
Ran through all the steps and and included the net start line, but it was still the same issue. Then looking to see for any other ideas I saw the steps for also deleteing the folder in
C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\DAUpdater
Well it wouldn't let me delete the folder itself but it did let me delete the files in the Info folderr that was there. Now everything is working!!!!!
Already have the CE, and armour installed. Currently downloading the 2 big ones. Stone Prisoner failed but restarted fine, and Warden's keep is downloading nicely. Currently at 21% and 6%.

Thanks a lot for all the help everyone. All the avtivity in this forum kept me going. You all are doing an AWESOME job trying to help everyone. Very detailed step by step instructions. Anyone saying you are not are jusy whinning 'cause they can't get someone else to fix their problem for them.

I have a weird problem.

I can login to social.bioware.com

I CANNOT login to the game servers from in game.

I CANNOT login to EA.com

What the heck is going on?

I did the manual install for the DLCs.
