Hi ! And thank you for the huge amount of work you already did.

I tought I might "add" to the list of issues.

I saw mine listed earlier, but I may have more infos.

I have installed all of my DLC, and they are showing in the installed list.
Most of them are working, but "Honnleath" and "Soldier's peak" are not showing on my map.

I regularly find crystals for Shale, and I have the rod, given in Sulcher's pass (Sulcher is not appearing anymore on my map).

Levi supposedly marked Soldier's peak on my map, but it does not show, and nothing happens when I tell him I want to go there. Also, he still has the golden "!" over his head even when I do that.

I tried about all the solutions written on that forum, and on other fora. (except for those not working for my OS, since it does not have the folder/options that should be used, or would simply not work).

I updated all of my windows component, changed the language it was installed in (I was using french, and now I'm using english), reinstalled the game, reinstalled the DLC separatly, tried to run the DAupdater service, set it on automatic, and so on.

I run my computer as administrator.

I use Win xp64 pro, and my version is the Steam digital collector edition.

This is most annoying, my PC died and I had to install windows on a new harddrive...

Where previously my DLC worked 100% without an issue, now when I re-installed Dragon Age it doesn't show up at all in any of the tabs!!

*#$&*#@^$*#%&*#&%^#$

All I want to do is play Dragon Age after spending 6 hours rebuilding my pc...

[Edit: I use Windows XP, fresh installation with a completely fresh install of Dragon Age. Have tried all steps related to missing content and nothing has helped. Now resorting to removing everything including saved games from my PC for a complete fresh reinstall. If this doesn't work I'm going to be super-p'ssd off!]

I had this problem on Wind 7 64 - but Biowares Jason had suggested going to your Dragon Age/Settings/ and deleting your Profile.dap.  (I renamed it .old in case I had to revert).  This worked for me - finally :D

Thanks HemisH, I had the

....0.1.1. Nothing shows up at all in all three tabs while in-game (Available Content, Download and Installed).

Problem and it worked just fine how you described it.

Hope this can maybe help someone else out there. I had the Warden's Keep, Blood Dragon Armor, and Stone Prisoner content all downloaded with nothing in the game appearing. Although the content showed up in my journal as downloaded, but for some reason would not show up on the login screen of the start of the game in the installed section. Well anyway I'm not a computer guru but after I updated Java everything appeared and worked perfectly in the game. I know it sounds weird, but its the truth none the less.

My problem has been solved, so I'll share with everyone. I had the problem where you get the rod, but Shale's town doesn't appear on the map. When I dled the DLC, I noticed the folder had only 80mb. Then I deleted it and tried again. The new stone prisoner folder had 90mb, and I knew that meant it was broken. Then I sent an email to EA support, and more than a week later they sent me this answer:

"Greetings,

Thank you for replying back with the requested information.

I have made necessary changes in your account with your e-mail address. You will be able to see the changes in next login.

Should you have any further questions, please take a moment to review our Knowledge Base site at http://support.ea.com or let us know.

We look forward to your reply.

Thank You"

I had no idea what was actually wrong, and, as you see, he didn't explain, so I didn't know how the hell 'making the necessary changes to my account' had to do with anything. All I know is that, after this reply, I deleted the DLC again, and downloaded it again. And then, presto, it worked. The folder now has around 500mb, and I have Shale. I don't know if the guy actually solved anything, or if by coincidence my game just decided to download the bloody file correctly this time, though.

Bioware really did the best job with teh updater. - my angry rant

Next time put something there to say you need to log on to some bull *(&$ system to get DLC.

Why advertise this extra stuff on steam and then it doesnt even work? and i try do all this register game and code bull$%# and wastes all this bloody time.

I just went and finished the game because I am not spending any more hours of my time trying to get something coherent out of them and fix something that I paid extra for.

also imo I thought this rpg was going to be the "new #$@!" but it was just the plain brown type. plus theres not enough rock music like your dam trailer that got my friggin attention. like put some in the action sequences at least. spose it doesn't matter i just turn your soppy music off for mine.

P.s You and EA have the best websites and email support ever.

I have a weird problem.

I can login to social.bioware.com
I CANNOT login to the game servers from in game.
I CANNOT login to EA.com

What the heck is going on?

I did the manual install for the DLCs.

nearly the same with me... i can't login in my account from the game... the login button ist just grayed out :(  installed the dlc manually, but doesn't work ingame, because it is not authorized...but it's shown as installed
i think i've read elsewhere that this "grayed out button-problem" has something to do with the router configuration, but i can not change the configuration. so is der another way i can play the dlc which i payed for? :D

If like me you did have the collector edition items under installed and authorised but all the other content such as the blood dragon armor and Prisoner quest not installed (even after manually installing it, it still shows as unauthorised even though you are) then just contact the tech support team via chat by clicking on the bottom of the screen under "help" on "DA Customer Support" -> then login and choose "Email us" on the left hand side and choose the option to chat instead of email.

That will resolve the problem for you, very helpfull and efficient. It might take about 30 mins to get through to them but it sure as hell beats waiting for an email reply because it's over a week now and I haven't received a reply from them.

So... I have netierh the manifest.xml or offers.xml files... and nor do I have the "daupdater" folder... is it jstu that Win7 is so different... or (even after reinstalling) is there a problem with my Steam install?

Jason Leong wrote...

Please try clear your offers and in progress downloads by using the following steps.

1) Shut down Dragon Age: Origins
2) In Windows, press the 'Start' button and select 'Run'
3) In the command line type 'net stop DAUpdaterSvc'
4) Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\BioWare\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Settings' and delete 'Manifest.xml' and 'Offers.xml'
5) Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\bioware\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Dragon Age' and delete the 'Offers' folder
6) Navigate to 'C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\All Users\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Application Data\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\BioWare\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' and delete the 'DAUpdater' folder
7) In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'
8) Restart Dragon Age: origins and log in

I have this same problem.  My downloads are stuck at zero, i have stopped and started the service, I have cleared the download cache.  But I don't have the manifest.xml or the offers.xml files.  I have the Offers folder, but nothing is in it.

Suggestions?

Does your windows login and admin privledges.  A number of users without admin privledges have reported giving their account admin rights solved their problem.

Allright, well I downloaded them manually I have entered my promo codes, and I have only one account on here.

But is says the manuall downloads are unautherized and when I go to my profile from the downloadable content page I get the following :

"Profile Not Found

The requested player does not have any Dragon Age data uploaded"

But at the same time I do see the new character I made once I had the game installed (yesterday).

Any ideas? All help is much appreciated.

Here is my problem. I saw it here (at least a similar one), but I couldn find no solution in this "all in one mess" (maybe there isnt any - I only hope someone is working on it! - realy cant say for sure while reading these post), so i ask for a clear ansver.

I have installed Stone prison DLC (it is enabled, i´m finding stuff for shale) but there is no new zone in my map - so i cant recruit him anywhere. (Properly instaled DLC - no DLC zone ingame).

I had problems downloading it (stuck at 0%), but using first post here i solved it manually. (maybe relates)

I also have Blood armor, which works just fine.

I have normal (bougt in shop) version, windows XP.

I tried some advices i found here and thougt it relates to this, none works.

The question is - is there a way to add a map point for properly installed and enabled DLC?

So I decided to go for a fresh install on my pc today, afraid that this would happen again and we're back to square 1: 3 empty DLC tabs.
I've reinstalled the updater twice (just to be sure), made sure it's running, started the game as admin, opened up my firewall, anti-virus, etc.
I believe this is where it goes wrong (from my log):
OnlineFeatures LoadOffers() : Unable to read file 'C:\\\\Users\\\\Username\\Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings\\\\offers.xml'!
DA Download Manager (DADM) Service was started!
DA Download Manager (DADM) Cannot start the service because it is already running
General Initialize - Initialization Complete
DA Download Manager (DADM) Attempting to connect to DADM Control Server!
DA Download Manager (DADM) Could not connect to DADM Control Server!
DA Download Manager (DADM) Restarting DADM HeartBeat!
DA Download Manager (DADM) Cannot start the service because it is already running

So, anyone have an idea how to fix this? Vista 32-bit.

Problems here too, letting run DA:O as Administrator and granting 'desktop privileges' to the DAU service seemed to work (it was downloading the blood dragon armor), HOWEVER, this somehow did not grant access to the correct 'My Documents' location; all settings and savegames were inaccessible. Running XP x64.

From Bioware's side I do not understand, at all, why downloading addons should go via a system server since through all the 6 different Windows versions at large nowadays (excluding home/business/... flavours) problems like this are just bound to happen,
Also, in my opinion it is just bad practice to save settings and savegames in the documents folder. Doubly so when there is no option to choose otherwise. At the very least, had the savegames been in .../games/dragon age/(profile/x/)save, I would have been happily downloading by now.

I have the exact same issue in my log.  Same 3 blank tabs in the DLC menu.

I use XP Pro SP 2.  CE game downloaded via Steam.

EDIT:  Also forgot to mention some other things...

DAUpdater doesn't seem to want to start, whether by clicking or with services.msc.  I did a Repair for microsoft.net framework 2.0 but that didn't fix it (wouldn't let me uninstall/reinstall because it said some programs were also using it).  I'm very close to giving up, since I have encountered problems before with other EA games, and the support for these games is always so bad due to the EA taint that it's always caveat emptor.

EA Support has not answered my question for almost 2 weeks.  Not a peep from them at all.

EDIT #2:  I also used that DAUpdater diagnostics .exe thing posted earlier in this thread.  It had all green text and it added a firewall exception to DAUpdater, plus it said it was fully updated and working.  I wonder what's wrong?

Sometime Tuesday afternoon Pacific, I could no longer load saved games with the DLC. I investigated and came to find out items were unauthorized where just 2 days ago they were very much authorized. After following this wonderful guide, I had no luck. Today, I was looking at my profile and came to find Dragon Age was no longer registered! WTH? I imput my cd key and had to add the "-" because steam failed. After hitting register it gave me a success message... which honestly it shouldn't have as I had done this 2 weeks ago. When I went into the game, and was logged out, all the DLC was enabled and authorized, when I logged in, some of it was unauthorized.

So for those who are having issues with unauthorized content where this guide did not help, try looking at your Bioware profile under the games tab and verify Dragon Age is still registered. Then play the game while logged out. This was my simply risk free solution to my unauthorized DLC.

My daupdatersvc.service refuses to work at all, and it refuses to be uninstalled/reinstalled through command prompts. This leads to me not being able to use my DLC as it says it's "unauthorized".

I'm at my wit's end here. I've tried everything to get it to work but it won't.
