Hmmmm I've tried with some of the fixes, but the thing is that it works, just not on the game I'm playing now. If I go back to an older save, say 20 hours less played I got access to Soldiers peak and Shales dialogue isn't totally messed up. However it's not working with all my recent saves. I guess nothing can be done about this? It's either go way back to an older save, or resstart with another campaign if I want it to work?

I see this too.  Has an answer to this been found?  (I am still looking - and having trouble posting here).

yeah I would think so as well but you are cast into the deep roads I don't think that they are going to let be back to get my gear

i tried everything then tried downloading microsoft net framework 3.5 and got a red exclamation point after hiting refresh button next to point balance .click on exclamation point and do a manual download.it worked .:happy:

The error code for Vista users timing out with DAUpdater is 1053, just for reference.

I have the DLC installed correctly in ver.1.0, so can I just update the game  to 1.1b and the DLC is still working?

Is there any fix for the Wardens Keep bug, where you've talked with Levi Dryden, gotten the quest, he's disappeared to go to Soldier's Peak, but Soldier's Peak travel location does not show up on world map?



It might be related to the Shale problem, where you've picked Shale up but talking to him returns the first conversation options you get when you talk to him for the first time in Honnleath.

From what is worth, my DLC were working on 1.0 and I update to 1.01a and then 1.01b a few days ago. They're all still working. Well I already completed it but my items didn't vanish and the game doesn't spit me unauthorized errors. Everything is peachy.

I updated :

• 0.1.2. When I try to utilize Dragon Age: Origins content I've downloaded, I receive an error message indicating that I'm unauthorized to do so.
• 0.1.3. Installed the DLC correctly yet it's not in game
• 0.1.12. Content Not Authorized when it worked before.

They mostly reference to people not having the game registered or a game that unregistered itself.

I added : 

• 0.1.13. DLC installed correctly, showing up in the game but is broken (Shale bugged, no map markers, items vanishing, etc...)

Like I mention in that section, it doesn't seem like folks found a real solution to this problem.

People still reading this thread and having this issue, I would greatly appreciate if you could list your Windows version, which steps from this FAQ you took and if you had issues before that (Did you have to fiddle around to get the DLC installed in the first place).

As for the people who still can't install the DLC and say they tried everything, it would be nice if you guys could post your Windows version and which steps you took to try and fix your issue.

To the folks with the Error 1053. Someone wrote a step by step post about how to reinstall .Net Framework like it's mentioned in the first post. I didn't included detailed information about that because I can't be sure of all the steps needed and I don't want people mad because I forgot to include one piece of information and screw their WIndows! :innocent:

So the Content Updater service starts correctly without any error? (or is already started when you checked)

This sounds very lame but make sure you have enough free space on your hard drive...

Did all the steps give you any problems or weird behaviors?

when game launch, content updater already started,and i have avaible 230gb free hdd(ill install mygame to not :C if anywrong with it idk),i tryed manual install from your step but at that point DA:updater giving error.Can i send ss here?i did nearly all steps

Do the opposite for the location of the dazip.

Create a folder called bin_ship on your system partition (where Windows is installed, I guess it's on C:).

For exemple :  c:\\bin_ship\\

Copy/paste the content from your standard bin_ship folder into this new folder. Start the daupdater.exe from this new folder you created and filled.

Select your .dazip and try installing it again.

Using that framework cleanup tool I get the option to remove framework 1.0, 1.1 and 3.5 but not 2.0.

What gives?

I have 2.0 as when I try to run the installer it tells me it's already installed and refuses to overwrite.

What OS? I believe since Vista .net 2.0 was integrated and can therefore only be installed or uninstalled through the Windows components menu.
